A friend if a friend told me how to do it, but I pretty much forgot. All i know is I need to get translucent paint from michaels or some place that carries it. I do not remember the process on cleaning the bulb. Has anyone done this or know the process?? Appreciate it!

uhh... why would you want to paint headlight bulbs? and i don't think this translucent paint will hold up to the heat of the bulb.

He used translucent paint. I want my bulbs yellow. He actually did 2 coats so they were a little more orange.

I am definetly not painting the headlight housing. Bulbs are much cheaper to replace. The ones my friend did look fantastic. And didn't melt his bulbs either.
if they made bulbs for my car, I might just purchase some, but I have H13 bulbs. Brand new and nobody make replicas yet.

Sounds like you need to call your friend....
Just get the yellow x-pel film that goes over the headlight. You get tired of it, take it back off.

hey thanks a lot. I was thinking of tinting my lens, but people said they wouldn't work. appreciate it. Looks good on you BMW!There is a company in BlueRidge that makes/sells the film...it comes in clear (protection), yellow, or light blue and two or three differant thicknesses....it's the same stuff used on the GT3 class in racing...
Looking for a link to the company...

If your H13 is the same as the H13 in my 04 Ford F150, the normal number for them is 9008 bulbs, and they have them in every color. I have extreme blues on my truck, and the 9008 fit the H13 perfectly had them on for about a year now.

i had no idea this was still alive. Well, I bought foglight covers and they are great. except when I tried to get them to warranty them, they blew me off (lamin-x). They still shine bright yellow but it has like tiny bumps on the cover.
i am probably not going to do the bulb b/c I will still have a clear lens. i like the yellow lens b/c its bad ass.
