I recently purchased my first six speed car and have only used sixth on the highway even though I am above 55 on local roads all the time. In sixth at 60 mph I am at 2400 rmp... How often do all of you with six notches use the last?

i drive my friends rsx type-s sometimes, and when i do, i put it in 6th gear all the time, if i'm cruising at a constant speed.

i forget what mine is. but im usually in 6th by around 43 or so. use it all the time. no reason not to.


buahahaha....if i cruise at like 90 its almost 5k in 6th.

in the STi if i'm above 40 mph steady i'm in 6th. in my camaro? 70+ to put it in 6th or it lugs lol. in the camaro at 80 mph in 6th i'm around 2000 rpm.

When I had my trans am with 4.10s, I would wait till about 60+ to go to 6th.
On a normal day I wouldn't go over 55 mph so it was rare.

6th gear is the official cruising gear!

when i had my friends svt focus for a few months, i only used it on the hwy..

i only have a 5 speed, but damn im not in 6th at 43, im still in like 2nd or maybe 3rd.

I'm in 6th gear by 35-40 mph lol corvette gearing. Also 4th gear at 20ish, 3rd at 10ish.
