Ok I have decided to buy a laptop. I never really read about their capabilities and such since I have a desktop and never thought about a laptop. But now I am seeing many advantages of the laptop and now I want one. Here is what I have now:
desktop:
ASUS A8NE motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 3800+ running at 2.64 GHz
2 GB DDR memory
Nvidia 7600GT graphics card
top of the line (2 years ago) 19" LCD monitor
USB wifi thingy
200 GB harddrive, DVD burner, CD burner
still have the retail windows xp home CD and other disks
wireless keyboard/mouse
Now I am looking into a laptop, but I don't know if I want to buy a nice laptop to replace my desktop or if i want to keep the desktop and get an ok laptop just for internet and school work.
Is it possible to buy a laptop similar or better in performance to my current desktop in terms of processing ability and graphical ability in the budget of what I can sell every single thing used for my desktop + $300?
Like a laptop that can handle SolidWorks CAD program, Flight Simulator X on medium - high and other games on medium - high?
