it took me 6 hours
use the integra dash harness, you ll have to swap one of the plugs on it with the one on the civic harness that plugs into the fuse box. I had to also run a jumper from my hazard light switch to the fuse box to get the blinkers to work.

Make sure you go to the DMV and ask what you need to do, to do this legally. The VIN swapping will cause problems. My old hatchback had color swapped interior and it took me about 2 months to get a new VIN/title b/c the person before me didn't do it properly. I was actually told to do something illegal by the tag office supervisor, to make the process easier... kind of nerve racking to walk back in there after doing so!

Its not like a cop walks up too your car and Says " damm you have an Integra dash in there, who swaped the vins". I think you caused more problems foryourself then needed! my :2cents:

i just drilled my vin off and swapped it over with new pop rivets, not very difficult, they are pop riveted anyways. as long as the vin matches the one on the firewall they wont do anything.
I really dont understand why they put vins on something so prone to destruction or wear and tear.

I tried selling the car and the new owner couldn't get insurance on it. The insurance company refused to insure the car due to the discrepancy in VINs. I was forced to give a refund.
I don't think that is me creating problems :goodjob:

well you created a problem by not swapping over the VIN's apparently so that they would match. no one is going to make a big deal if the vins match, he'll ive seen vins vibrate off and fall down behind the dash over years.

I don't think that is me creating problems :goodjob:...because the VIN wasn't swapped, it comes right off with no problem and you put the old one on the new dash. People with BMW's with cracked dashes do it all the time and their's pry right off undamaged with a small screw driver.
There is nothing illegal about it as long as you're keeping the same VIN.

Not trying to be an ass, just trying to give a heads up.I've looked at dozens of cars for sale the past year. On EVERY single one the first thing i've done is compared the VIN on the dash to the one on the door. If they don't match I look at the one under the hood.
There's no point in looking at the rest of the car and certainly would never buy one that didn't have matching VIN's everywhere.

Yea, I fucked up on that one. I failed to match all the VINs before buying it. I did luck out when none of the VINs came back stolen and I got it all straightened out though.

LOL.
First thing I did on the teg was ran a carfax, then checked VINs, and then visually inspected for any discrepancies.
