Ok...so my blue integra was totalled...

one of my buddies has partially (I say partially because I have only given him a deposit of $500 until the ladies insurance company gives me the money from the blue one) sold me an integra he had for sale...well the VIN he posted in the thread wasn't the same as the car's....

Well...the other day when I was installing the stereo system from my old car into the new one....i notice a weird stamp on driver side door jam...and it was a Salvage stamp...for the state of Alabama...

So look at the VIN and its completely different than the VIN he gave me...I know I shoulda checked before...but come on...he is supposed to be one of my best friends...

So long story short...i'm completely broke and dont have the $30 for a carfax...and was wondering if anybody on here had an unlimited car carfax account...if so...PPPPLLLEEEAAAASSSEEEE HELP!!!!!

VIN: JH4DC4453TS023706
Vehicle: 1996 ACURA INTEGRA LS
Records: 25 records found in the CARFAX Vehicle History database

also....if somebody cant help with the carfax....what do you suggest I do...I have already swapped over (from the old car but the motor and tranny....which he has with him in columbus (and are planning on swapping this weekend) as well as me paying for the rest of the car....I'm paying $2600 in total.....but if the car has a salvaged title....there's no fucking way its worth that much...

Suggestions....help....please..thank you!

Yes I would think a 96 teg with a salvage title would be worth about $2000.

The other issue you have is was the title a Georgia title? If not, then you will not be able to register that car. If it is an Alabama Salvage/Rebuilt title then you have to have it put through salvage inspections in the state of GA, and I dont think you can personally do that as a private party. You have to be a licensed rebuilder to put it through that process.

Need more information here.

CycloneHatch....thanks! You rock!!!! REPS ADDED!!!

So the car has been totaled and had the title rebuilt 3 separate times...one in the rear and two in the front...sounds like a porno flick!

I'm trying to decide my tactics on where to go from here...

Is there anywhere to find out the value of a vehicle with a salvaged title?

Has the car ever been rebuilt in the state of GA? Or just the state of AL?

Then you should not have an issue registering it.

That does suck your friend dicked you over like that though. The car is worth $2000 to me.
