b16 or gsr opinions

I personaly like the gsr head better then the b16, it gives a little more compression in stock form...

But a type r head would be the shit if you can afford it... :2cents:

i think the GSR head i have with skunk2 high compression valves, mild port and polish, and milled .20 WITH a fresh head resurface would be good...

and for just 500$ bucks itll do you perfect!

me personally i think both heads are great. each 1 will take u to different direction in a lil way. id us a b16 if i was boosting. gsr if i was going NA. thats just me.

i'm not sure how different they are but i put a b16 head on my ls and built it, 13.1 compression pretty solid build, but that took alot of $$$ lol

if you had both heads goin for the same price, then depending on what pistons are going to be used on youe setup than this is my opinion

GSR head if the pistons are going to be stock or up to 11.5:1 pistons, just to gain some comp. from the head

B16 Head if the pistons are going to be any higher comp pistons 12:1 and up. Honda mated the CTR pistons with that head for a reason, well the same head structure, difference was the CTR/ITR head flowed better because of factory upgrades., pnp, valves, IM, TB, cams, etc.

advice?

i would choose the B16, regardless of what setup.... its just more " room " to work with, sorta speak
