if you looking for something not too expensive but still make power...i probably think you should run an eclipse turbo (TDO5) with a HF manifold with an adapter plate and the basic parts of the turbo kit (intercooler, pipings, bov, etc.) and tuned around 8-10psi to be safe...power range 160-180hp...real good for the streets...

I put a real cheap home made turbo kit together for about 700 dollars. 14b turbo, hf manifold, hm dp, JRC IC abs plastic ic piping, dsm injectors, turboedit. It was on my 214,000 mile stock d16a6 crx, my boost was around 8psi, sometimes it wanted to creap up to 12psi. It was fun!

I wouldn't worry too much about blowing it up, as long as you have the correct fuel and timing from a tune, your good to go!

dont listen to this guy :lmfao:

But remember, what you pay is what you get. So if you gona go cheap, it wont last you long before you have problems. Good parts=good power good parts=last longer :idb:

Just depends on what you want to buy. If you want to go the budget route, get the hf manifold, adapter plate and a t25 turbo or a 14b. You can go the ihi route, but eh there to small for my taste, and plus harder to find. Check ebay im sure you will find everything you need. And plus a less risk of getting scammed out of your money. I got scammed a couple times on HMT.com, just be careful.

You don't have to get it tuned, if you want to stay cheap you can get a base map and just drive it like that. But I don't recommend it.

That works! Hell remember I got my IC piping from home depot. The abs plastic has a higher melting rate than the pvc pipes, so I went with the abs plastic..LOL!
