hell no, not worth it. have you ever donated blood? its shit. and to make $200 you would have to do it twice per week for each month. thats a lot of needle holes on the same spot on your arm over and over.

I don't trust these places. Back in VA there were some NASTY folks in there. Won't ever go back. Once was enough!

Lets see. First the people that work there are usually morons that can't find your veins so they need to poke around a bit. Once they find it, they leave the needle in there for as long as it takes to fill up the bag. Sometimes your blood will flow very slowly. So then they will tell you should have drank more water, which is bullshit because I had drank gallons, but anyways now you have to open and close your hand repeatedly to try to pump more blood. This also increases the pain. They also won't let you go unless the bag is full, no matter how long it takes. You will feel lightheaded, and if your skinny you might pass out, I guess if your big then it will be easier for you.
Then when youre finally done, which was the longest 2 hours of your life, you still feel sick/weak for the rest of the day.

I used to be called to emory for plasma, I got paid 120 per time. But you have to have someone request you and your plasma. (I knew someone at CDC who used the plasma for testing...)

I get called 2-3 times a week by the red cross for my blood type cause it kinda rare. I am actually thinking about picking up a part time gig with one of the places cause I can start an IV on just about anything w/o an issue. ( plus they pay like 25-35 an hour for a medic because we can run a team)

I have a friend that does this and he actually tried to get me to go with him last Friday to do it. He said they paid him $20 just to take some shot to enhance the shit in his blood or something and then he had to go back like 2 weeks later to donate. He told me they only paid him $50 and it took him like 2hrs. Doesn't seem worth it to me unless you really are a broke ass needing food money..lolol

it would cost me more to drive there and back than I would be paid for going.
