Is customizing cars a thing of the past in America? Is building what you want shunned by your peers? I don't know where I am going with this post, but it here bishes.
Read all, but ESPECIALLY the bold.
And as long as you think monetary value and cost are the most important things to consider when building a project like this, you'll never go anywhere in the custom car world. Passion, vision, and imagination are far more important than resale value to some people. Besides that, the guy built a car with the styling and comfort of an RS4, custom paint and other touches to personalize it, and an economical engine in a country where gas is exhorbitantly expensive. Would it make sense for a rich guy in the US to do this? Probably not, but it fits perfectly with what he wanted and the conditions he had to work with. And this last comment is not aimed specifically at BSIXER, but is meant as more of a shotgun blast at the whole community. Why do most people here seem to follow the crowd and hate anything that's different? And why do you have to question people's motives for customising their cars? Too many people ask why and criticise. The better question is "Why not?" Constructive criticism is great, but dogging someone's work without understanding where they are coming from is just plain stupid and arrogant.
Now look at the car built: Taken from a B6 A4 to a B7 RS4. An RS4 in Norway runs ~$220,000 USD.

So, to all you haters who can't appreciate people who like to customize their cars/trucks, Kick rocks. It's their money and they can spend it how they please. Sure this car is still badass, but don't hate on your boys civic because he did not choose the JDM golden road, lol. Damn I am bored.
