2006 Alfa Romeo Brera
We were all filled with lust at Geneva in 2003 when we saw the Italdesign-Giugiaro Brera concept car. The entire line-up of Alfas has now been refaced to look like the Brera and there's a beautiful 156-based GT Coupe that most of us thought was the Brera production car. So now we have the actual Brera production car on the GM Epsilon platform - talk about timing, huh? This coupe that replaces the very dated GTV two-seater is only slightly larger than the GT Coupe and is great to look at but we don't get why struggling Alfa needs another small-volume niche-mobile. Oh, well. Power gets as high as 260hp with the company's perennial 3.2-liter V6. This should serve to re-establish Alfas reputation for cars that accelerate as quickly as they depreciate.
....i think i just creamed my pants:o
