This is a 1998 Ex. And since it has a body kit, whale tail, and ricer dual exhaust on a 4 cylinder, it's slow right?

Well what is so wrong if a car looks like this and has the power to back it up?

It isn't totally disgusting, The kit it has is one of my favorites.

Back to the question though, what is wrong with this if it has the power?

Heres the engine:

A turbo B16.

The parts list:
B16 motor swap, JE 8:1 pistons for turbo and nitrous applications, Eagle rods, civic type-r crankshaft and pulley, Skunk2 High Boost Valves, dual valve springs, crower stage 3 turbo cams, Skunk2 6 bolt adjustable cam gears, AEM high flow fuel rail and regulator, Walbro high flow fuel pump, MSD 6BTM ignition box, MSD blaster SS coil, MSD wires, Fluidyne 3 core radiator, dual FAL fans, completely built, turbonetics 60-1 stage 5 trim, drag manifold, turbonetics raptor wastegate, 3" turbo back exhaust spilt at rear axle into dual exhaust, blitz BOV, Blitz electronic boost controller, greddy turbo timer, nitrous express wet kit.

Just because it's ricy doesn't mean its slow or lame. :2cents:

Just because its fast, doesn't mean that I have any respect for it. It looks like shit. Its not like its hard to make a car fast these days, all you need is money.

I would like the rear bumper if it was single exhaust. The front bumper, eyelids, side skirts, and wheels are all terrible though.

is that an SRT emblem on the back?

not that there's anything wrong with that....

Its not as bad as most of the cars like that, but the dual exhaust and the wheels are a turn off for me.

Can you say zero back pressure?

I bet it's quick...the body kit is just a bit to much for me though.

I like it except the spoiler, eye lids, and rims. Not likin the huge splitters either

Overall, it is not a bad looking car, I would drive it with some minor changes. The tail is not horrible, but not my style. The body kit is also not horrible, but little over the top...mainly that front bumper needs to go. The eyelids look stupid because they do no line up with his hood. If they started and ended with the edges of the hood, it would be much better. Besides that, it is a good looking car and the power is just a bonus.

speed and power have nothing to do with it looking like ass. its ugly as fuck, and 2000awdturbosuperchargedhorsepower will never change that.

I agree, it looks like poop. I have never liked body kits on Hondas

It looks like crap. I will only give the owner props if he riced out his car to make people think it is slow.

Just cause its got a big parts list doesn't mean its fast. Whats it make? like 200tqe maybe? I say that's slow. *shrug*

And also, since popular opinion is so important to ya, keep in mind when someone sees a car the exterior is what they see first. If a car is gruesome they may not care to see the engine bay.

car is fugly. if it was stock on the outside, i would rock it.

It's a waste of the engine and turbo setup. It needs to be in the back of an Ariel Atom, Porsche 914, or 1st gen MR2, or maybe up front in a Renualt R5. If it must be FWD then maybe a British Mini.

I guarantee the body kit to weigh 100% more than stock bumpers with a clean bolt on aerodynamic kit. 17's on that chassis is ridiculous anyways but those wheels are hideous looking. That wings is too bulky, weighs a TON. The headlights being tinted that much have no function. Judging by the cluster fuck of wires around the battery the car has a system...a rather heavy one at that. Dual exhaust is pointless on any inline engine.

Umm....No..... Can you say turbo??? back pressure isn't really an issue.

I've seen coat-hanger abortions that looked better than that car. I bet it took at least 10 rolls of 3M double sided tape to hold all that crap on there.

dont u all get tired of lookin at stock bodied hondas?

id change the wheels, and take the spoiler off.. and it wouldnt be too bad. looks like the body work has been done well.. And prob is cleaner than half the hondas on IA, body wise...lol

umm....No...The bigger the exhaust, the more laggy the turbo will be. More backpressure loads the turbo quicker and therefore makes it spool quicker, So it really depends on where you want your powerband.

It looks like crap, whether you are a poser saying you like it to be different then the stockish JDM fad guys, or you are a lame JDM fad guy. The front bumper is rice, the wing, the wheels, etc. I don't hate all body kits, this one is ugly, it's not functional, and a Civic with duals? No.

You're joking right?

Really?

You must have read the David Koresh Turbo for Dummies book. Dude, step away from cars and go live under a rock. Please remember down the street not across the road.

Is this your car? If would be fitting, lol!

I'd drive it. I've never cared for that front bumper. It sticks out too far on the sides. the rear...eh...at least it all matches and the exhaust isnt hanging down.

So you're saying there's no reason any Inline should have a dual exhaust? Even perhaps an RB25DET pushing 11psi and 350hp that went from a 3" single pipe to twin 2.25" pipes split after the turbo because of clearance issues in a 240z? Let's be honest, most V6's don't "need" dual exhausts, and neither do most V8's. It's not about having the dual muffler exits, it's about having enough flow, and a single big pipe isn't always the best way to achieve that.

I never have minded bulky body kits as long as they wernt cheap lookin and they fit the car right. I even like some obnoxious spoilers(not that one tho). The problem i have with it is that its FWD. I dont like FWD cars, end of story.
