I ordered some Tein S-Techs from ZEN Motors (tray gave me a good price and took car of everything for me).
Well i went up there today to get them installed, didnt take very long at all.
Its not slammed so i guess im not JDM Tyte! But i didnt want anything over aggressive either.

Same here. It might just be me, but I could never think of myself paying that much money to lower my car an inch.
Car looks good, Mike. I'm not bashing by any means. I'm just being honest in saying I don't understand. And not like in a "you're an idiot" type of way, lolol. Later, QD.

haha i can notice, and i know its not slammed, its fine i didnt think post people would notice.
I didnt want to buy $1000 coilovers or go with 2.5in springs and it ride like shit. Its slightly lower than stock, thats kinda what i wanted, when i get my 19s in itll look good :)

Lolol. I'm not one of the "it has to be slammed to look good" people. Like my Grand Am. It's far from slammed, but you can definitely tell it's been brought down about 2 1/2" from stock. And it rides as if it was still stock.
But of course it's you and if you like it, who am i or anyone else to say otherwise. I hope you didn't/don't take offense to my post as I didn't mean for it to be cross. Later, QD.

^^ lol... look you qd.. all trying to be pc. are you sick today?
lowering a car isn't always just about the look, but also the ride. im sure he can take turns a little faster with less body roll and more control.. thats always a plus in eyes.

no not at all, its cool you could say it looks like ass and it wouldnt bother me.
The RX8 is pretty low as it is, so, i went with the S-Techs because its a less aggressive stance. WIth springs you never know, i could have gone with 2in or 2.5 an it could have been so low i couldnt get up my driveway. Im also going bigger with the wheels so i decided to keep it pretty conservative.
If you see it in person you can tell its lower, but i agree its very slight

Lolol. Not sick, man. Just calming down a bit. And plus Mike isn't one of those morons that doesn't get it, lolol.
I see where you're at, Vtec. I forget that car is a bit low to start with.
And it doesn't look like ass. Except maybe Halle Barry's. Later, QD.

well you know if you lower a Stock 99 Hatch 1.5in its really easy to tell cause it rides 4in above the tire already lol.
If you lower a Supra or a RX7, Vette, etc its hard to tell with such a minimal drop cause it was already low to begin with.
To be honest i was going to get coilovers, but i dont plan on having the car longer than a year because im going to buy a V8 in the future. so i didnt want to put the money in it. The springs were $200 so thats alot easier to deal with than $1000
Hopefully itll look good with the WHEELZ Y0!

I agree on the money part, lolol. And all other points as well. And the wheels will be bigger, yes? If so then that will knock out a bit of gap as well.
Carry on, sir. You done good. Later, QD.

looks good to me man. im not really one for slammed cars a lot of the time either. your looks good to me. what size wheel are you going to go with? those wheel wells are massive in my eyes. gotta have a good wheel size as tire size to make it not look so big, at least i think

Yeah, you say you'll be done....but we all know how that works out when people say that. HAHAHA
I like it though, not to much but more of an agressive look. Slammed is not always the way to go.
