Indy Racing League Pre-Season Test


The Indy Racing League returns to the Barber Motorsports Park on Saturday, March 21 - Monday, March 23 for their sole road course test prior to the start of the 2009 season! A full field is expected for the test as they prepare their Honda-powered racers for another exciting season.

Come watch 2008 IRL Champion Scott Dixon, 2007 Champion Dario Franchitti, Danica Patrick, Dan Wheldon, Marco Andretti, and more. Also in attendance will be the IRL's developmental series, the Firestone Indy Lights.

Paddock access is free, and there will be plenty of opportunities to meet your favorite IRL stars!

Children 15 and under are admitted free with a ticketed adult, and as always, parking at the Barber Motorsports Park is free!

Today is mostly the IndyLights cars, Sunday and Monday he should be there

im a little late on this,but ifanyone has the oppurtunity to go next year,then do it, its an awesome track to watch those IRL cars.
If you do go, watch from inside the museum, seriously. at some point, watch museum corner from inside the museum. the IRL cars make this awesome sounding resonance through the glass.

I saw it on the TV. That place might need to adjust some parts of the track to make for better passing zones since it is currently so flowy. (Ie good for bikes)

Anyways, this was just a test but the Barber people have said they want IRS to come to the track. If i was Tony George, i'd be on this.

Fan wise, i'd definetly be making the trip to watch.

It's a nice track for sure I have been a few times, my uncle runs the construction team that built it. They had a house right near it, close enough to hear the cars clearly in their back yard.
