Seriously, is your car club/squad worth fighting over? Is it like a gang? If someone thinks your rotas are faggish reps or your car isn't "clean", will you and your buds punch them in the face?

Not that I am calling any of the below out, but there are several.
I hear chatter when I go to meets about "my squad don't like him, he was talking shit about my wheels". Or crews that ride together will get out of their cars and fight together.
I'm standing there like..... :thinking:

I see all these clubs but I never hear about them. I understand they are just groups of friends basically. And since the car show thing is kinda dying out there are no shows for them to "rep" their squad.
I was in a car club then moved to a "performance/race" club and that was a lot of fun. But most the clubs now are kids or just stupid people.

I run a car club, so I am biased, but I try to keep it as organized as possible and limit the membership of people who think its a good idea to burn out to impress and such

Most all the clubs were well respected and well represented. Everyone knew them or knew of them. It was a big deal then. Now, it's like someone said, just a group of friends that want to call themselves a club and meet at a bar. Clubs are nothing like they were in our heydays. Later, QD.

fo sho... i loved it back in the day; we used to hang out all the time, drink, party, go to shows, hang out drink party, etc... it was good times. very competitive from how many members to class of rides. :cheers:

The death of car clubs came about when F&F and street-weenies killed everything else there was about tuning and the "scene".

Car clubs were serious back in the day but died out hard and fast. I think that had a lot to due with the way this whole import scene is. With changing times there are changing clubs. Some people still want to think old school while others want to go with the ways of the new-JDM, VIP, and so on.
Coming from the import scene-motorcycle clubs are TOTALLY different. There are very few changes that go on in a motorcycle club other than changing bikes. But when it comes to the bi-laws and the order of the club-Things don't really change. Motorcycle clubs are very serious and most people know that before they join up or try to be a probie as we call them.
