is this really in the Koran...

Koran (9:11) - For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, wh ile some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace.

Atif would be the man to answer, but I've read that before too.

Some people speculate that because the verse is 9:11, it was the reason that 9/11 was chosen as the date by the terrorists.

As to what it means, Atif would have to answer that.

This is the actual verse, the other is a hoax written after the attacks.


Chapter 9 verse 11 actually says "But if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, they are your brethren in faith; and we make the communications clear for a people who know."

Here are three english translations of that verse. From what I have read there is no use of the word Eagle in the Quran.

But (even so), if they repent, establish regular prayers, and practise regular charity, they are your brethren in Faith: (thus) do We explain the Signs in detail, for those who understand.

But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then are they your brethren in religion. We detail Our revelations for a people who have knowledge.

But if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, they are your brethren in faith; and We make the communications clear for a people who know.

well i was just askin.... not that i don't believe u... kinda like i can say that a verse reads differently than what it really does or i can interpret it differently..... like i said i've never even seen a Quran so i wouldn't know how to go about finding out.... and i was waiting on atif cause he seems very knowledgable about the Quran.... not trying to offend anyone sorry...

That was an actual hoax email that was sent around right after 9/11. Its not true at all. It was actually posted on IA old forum also where the correct verse was quoted.
