I am a huge flat paint fan... i've had a few cars done that way long before it was cool, but i'm sorry if i owned a C63 AMG i certainly wouldn't vinyl wrap it or paint it flat black

I accually like it, He wraped it, so no negative impact to the value, and when you get tired of it, take it off.

The only thing it needs is a drop

I agree with Paul. I like the flat black/vinyl look, but those cars are so sexy with shiny paint. If I spend $65,000+ on a car Im going to let it shine.

The one I saw was silver. It took off from a light and holy shit that thing could haul. Id kill to have one.

"The Matte Black finsh is vinyl wrap that not only protects the vehicle's original paint, but also gives it the F-22 Fighter Jet Stealth look."

This made me LIRL!

I like the look....but the fact that its vinyl makes me be like WTF!?

I'd do it to my car. But I don't think it would look that great.

You do know that's huge now right? vinyl wrap > paint.

It can be huge but IMHO its still dumb. It looks just like paint in pics....but in person....it looks half ass and cheap.

I like it, especially the clash between the white interior and the black. All he did was wrap the car in a condom to prevent RSTD's and such.

If it's done RIGHT you can't tell, a lot of exotic car owners are doing it now. It gives you the chance to do something different without making it permanent. It's not really cheap, but possibly cheaper then a nice paint job? I was going to get my car wrapped since it's a track car that way it wouldn't really matter if I crashed.

How much does it cost to wrap a whole car?
I see what you mean though....plus it would help you on resale too if you could pull that stuff off and have fresh paint under it.

you don't vinyl wrap a 60+k car and doing it to an exotic car is even more stupid; if you can afford a lambo, ferrari, etc then you can afford to paint it or order it the color of your choice.

Sure you do, TONS of people are doing it now. Sure you can paint it, but then you would have to paint it again later to hold a real value, and it would lose value repainting it. It's like a huge bra.

well if you crashed then the car and paint would still be damaged.

I know, but I am speaking for my track car not an exotic. Like dents and stuff, just add more vinyl lol.

sorry dude vinyl wrap is just gay and why would you spend 1000's to wrap when you can repaint the car for the same price and possibly cheaper; you notice they don't have pix of the car close up in the spots that matter. why on earth would you want to drive a 60+k car w/ fake exterior that isn't 100% is beyond me.

I think it looks kinda butty. The lines aren't sharp and the panel gaps look off. Looks like the quality of paintwork you'd see on a rattle canned 240.

In other words its JDM baller as fuck.:lmfao:

THIS CAR IS HOT!

I would only flat black a nice car, cuz if not, people think its a primered POS..

I thought about vinyl wrapping mine, because it would protect the paint from scratches and rock chips, and look cool until I get tired of it.. Well I wanted to do it until I got a estimate of $3,000.. $600 maybe, but $3k?

I saw a previous gen C class, the other day in Tampa, with the bottom half of the AMG bumper painted flat black. Right above the grill lines to make it seem like there was no grill or something.

Actually, You can see how well they cut it in. Look at the photos. The jams are still white, but I don't see any stank vinyl hanging off the side and it is laid into the sail lines with no air bubbles. Badass. Plus, ride around like that for a year and pull that Vinyl off and voilah....brand new paint. No fade, no chips, no nothing. I love it. Looks cool and actually helps the value of the car in the long run.

I see nothing wrong with it. Now if he painted it......then i'd say dumbass.

I am used to it.. Everytime I call for any estimate and say Porsche, the price goes up about 100%..

My firend called later that day and they quoted $1,500..

Same with my tint, it was $110 dollars ANY CAR.. Well when those chinkies saw me pull up, they tried to say it cost $190 for my car..
