I am looking to spend under 20K on a 2006 or newer vehicle.
Needs: Manual, decent on gas, relatively nice (leather), quick (sub 8sec 0-60)
Things im considering: GTI/GLI, tsx, v6 accord, mazda 3 grand touring, passat, altima
Leaning towards one of the VW's
what do you think i should do?

EDIT: and why!

TSX, Mazdaspeed 3, GTI, IS250, ....

Could also throw a gto, or a sti in there.

I'd probablly buy a v6 G8...

sexy as hell, nice insides, decent power. Throw some wheels on it, and call it a day

honestly i would go back a few years, you can find cars from 04-05 with very low miles and get a better car for under 20k in my opinion, but out of those id get the tsx. My friends mom has an 06ish passat and its been back to the dealer to get a ton of warranty work. I also agree that you should consider a gto they have awesome interior:goodjob:

Honda Civic SI - Reason: everything you demand + MORE, Acura RSX-S - Reason: everything you demand + MORE, Honda S2000 - Reason: everything you demand but just short on space, and just pretty much any Japanese sports car.

^UNDER 20 grand?

Yes, you will be getting a newer car for under 20k, but how many miles?

Since you are asking about those vehicles, get the Altima/Maxima with the 3.5L. Those cars are wicked quick for being fatasses. Swoll had a stock altima 5spd run 13.5!

MS6 can be easily had for under 20K with well under 50K miles and a G8 GT can be done as well just have to do a little haggling. Most of them are going for around 23 with under 20K miles. Dude I went to see my old boss at the Subaru dealer today. 31K Legacy GT he automatically took 4K off the price and on a 39 month lease told me hed give it to me for $300/mo right now is the time to buy its a buyers market you should know that better than anyone. Hell you could get a E46 M3 or a M5 right now for under 20K.

There is no way a stock altima ran 13.5 STOCK in 1/4 mile. I don't even think any altimas were offered with the Helical torsen LSD. And I'm sorry, but I have a hard time believing that 260 hp can propel a 3400lb a 1/4 mile in 13.5.

But that would be badass.:goodjob:

Not even a 350z or g35 runs 13.5...

A lot of people are saying to consider an E36 M3, SRT4, WRX (few SRT4/WRXs found in this price), LS1 fbody, RSX, civic EP3, MB CLK430. Later, QD.

I think QD is right on the money, definitely check out the E36 M3, SRT4, WRX (few SRT4/WRXs found in this price), LS1 fbody, RSX, civic EP3, MB CLK430.

lol at this thread. I'd look into the GTi. I think it's light years ahead of the other cars you posted, except for the Speed 3. They have the nicest interiors, get 30mpg and have an incredible twin clutch gearbox i'd consider (even though I love my manuals).

German cars are expensive to maintain so i would get a tsx type S if possible, the accord would be nice but that v6 is a single cam, its fast but its a single cam

MINI

2006 Mini Cooper S

Maintain their value, Easy to mod for a decent price, one of the best handling cars of the road, Great quality and styling. The inside is spaceous.

My cooper is easily capable of 40 MPG. Driving it hard and racing around town I get 28-32 :D

If I tried I could go 600+ miles on a tank.

The S has 165ish HP stock and easily can get 200+ hp
PM me if you have any Q's :)

maybe a gti, gets about 25mpg, and the interior is nice IMO.
