um... that really wasn't all that hard of a hit... seemed like a normal check to me... just happened to hit the right part of the glass to make it shatter. I used to hit much harder than that when i played growing up

..hell i used to hit people harder than that playing soccer.. haha.. could be why i always got yellow/red cards..

You guys do know that hockey fights ARE staged, right? A couple of players that are NOT the main focus of the team will get together the day before and set up the scenario. That's why you hardly ever see the stars of most teams involved in those big fights. Later, QD.

um... heh.. i dont know what kinda soccer you are watching/playing... but soccer is just as physical as hockey... and all we use are shin guards.. i got more beat up in soccer than i ever did in hockey

not all hockey fights are staged, and even that ones that are, are not predeterminded the day before, they are usually a spur of the moment thing. the stars dont fight becuase how can they be stars in the penalty box? or if the are injured! I play semi professinal hockey and there is nothing staged about fighting in hockey, and yes soccer is a pretty mean sport also but still does not compare to hockey, in soccer you use a soft ball, hockey uses a hard rubber puck, soccer has no boards to get hit againts, also hockey is on ice, i know three year olds that can run, but try fighting while on ice!

true... but when you get hit by that hard rubber puck you are still padded pretty damn well.. in soccer that "soft ball" becomes really hard when kicked... with no pads... and as for the boards... i dont know if it was because i was usually the one doing the hitting... but the boards never really hurt..

we may have to settle this... puck vs soccer ball... which one hurts the most (with the proper pads for the sport) i'll let you take a slap shot at me if you let me take a penalty kick at you:cheers:
