Yeah, if you want something that will last forever then you are gonna need to spend a little more. Check out pawn shops for used pistols. If they have been taken care of, then they are just as good as a new one.

Not even last forever, just fire a few times would be a success.

Not even last forever, just fire a few times would be a success.i'm looking for something for me to get the feel for it. i used to shooting rifles and looking to get a pistol that would last a few years till i could get a better one.
its why i'm keeping a low spending on it till i get the feel for it to see if i like a pistol over a rifle.

Yeah man, you can find a good one.
If you buy one used you can have it registered if you want. In this state you dont have to. Just make sure your buying it legally

i just don't know what to get. nothing too crazy, but something i could keep for a couple years and not have any problems out of it.
any suggestions?

Yeah,
Taurus, Smith and Wesson, Glock, etc.
What caliber do you want? thats the question.
Go up to Adventure Outdoors and do some price checking.
They are pretty good about not selling crap.
SInce the election prices have been on an incline, so the sooner you get one the better.

For that range, you can get a derringer or a hi point.

probably around a .32-.45 caliber.

edit: i'll probably be going to a local gun/pawn shop right down from my house to get it, i'll check and see what they got and come back. but still looking for any suggestions.

I thought you didn't want anything bigger then a 9mm though? .45 is quite a bit larger.
