How are you connected? Wireless or what? Reset your modem and router if your using one. Mine did that the other night, it was the modem.

My computer did that the other day. I had to install certain spyware & antivirus progs on windows vista just for me to be able to load a webpage. I kept putting off installing McAfee, however once my webpages wouldn't load anymore, I had to install that and some other prog that came with this system before it would load any pages. I was only able to use AIM & Yahoo messengers during my virus attack.

only you tim. i told you watching all that beastiality porn was going to get you some sort of virus man. but if you're not worried about losing all your shit thats on your computer, just do the system recovery when you first boot up your computer. it returns it back to the state you bought it in

or you can try installing antivirus/spyware software first.
if not it may be a system recovery/system reformat.

Easiest thing to do is reset your modem and router first.

Install these 3 free programs and run em every now and then. Couldn't hurt.

CCLEANER (http://www.ccleaner.com/) - CCleaner is a freeware system optimization, privacy and cleaning tool. It removes unused files from your system - allowing Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. It also cleans traces of your online activities such as your Internet history. Additionally it contains a fully featured registry cleaner. But the best part is that it's fast (normally taking less than a second to run) and contains NO Spyware or Adware! :)

Ad-AWARE Anniversary Edition (http://www.lavasoft.com/products/ad_aware_free.php) - 10 years of malware experience combined in one dynamic application. Ad-Aware - Anniversary Edition offers radically improved performance and efficiency, along with comprehensive malware protection. With real-time monitoring, threat alerts, and automatic updates you can rest easy knowing that you are protected.

SpyBot Search & Destroy (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html) - Spybot - Search & Destroy detects and removes spyware, a relatively new kind of threat not yet covered by common anti-virus applications. Spyware silently tracks your surfing behaviour to create a marketing profile for you that is transmitted without your knowledge to the compilers and sold to advertising companies. If you see new toolbars in your Internet Explorer that you haven't intentionally installed, if your browser crashes inexplicably, or if your home page has been "hijacked" (or changed without your knowledge), your computer is most probably infected with spyware. Even if you don't see the symptoms, your computer may be infected, because more and more spyware is emerging. Spybot-S&D is free, so there's no harm giving it a try to see if something has invaded your computer.
