Just looking through my PC today and came across the pics of my old car. It started off as a stock 1993 240SX and a couple of years later became one of the most known cars in the area. This is where I came from and this is the car that gave me the tick for going fast. After being ripped off of over $3000 dollars on my first SR20DET motor purchase I overcame, and gave it another shot.. I poured thousands of dollars, countless hours and days into building it and making it the way I wanted it. Like any other go fast person I cant even count the cuts and scraps I endured from this car. The car hit the streets making 310rwhp/321rwtq@19psi. After 2 years of pushing the first stock motor to the limits I blew the ring on the 3rd cylinder racing a Mustang. Not having the money I worked part time at BPM and also Sunbelt Performance whom rebuilt the short block. There I learned many things about the internals of a motor. Later I also decided to upgrade to the GT25R turbo. Once done I fired it up to hear everything running perfectly. When I turned off the car the turbo spun for 45 seconds b/c of the twin ball bearing setup. With this setup and addition of S4 cams the car laid down 396rwhp/365rwtq@20psi as the clutch let go. The JWT clutch was rated to 365rwtq and that it made and that it let go. :( Then came the time when I had a decision to make. Stay living with my bro and his girlfriend and keep the car, OR sell the car and move out. I decided to part with the car and move on. Never having a chance to see what the car really could do which is my deepest regret till this day still. Here are some pics for those that never got to see it.

Tri-Projectors own all. I love the stock front end. The bumper on there is a little extreme for my tastes but the car looks clean none the less.

I sold the car to a dealership that buys modded cars. I got nothing for the car practically and just goes to show you the situation I was in, and how bad I wanted to move out. Last I heard the morons whom bought the car wrecked it. They were attempting a u-turn and it hit boost and they lost it. Car went into a ditch and tore up the entire passenger side fender, I/C, wheel, etc. It was a handful and for someone new to the car and just jump in there thinking they will have fun is a big mistake. I had the car weighed before selling it as I had a goal of 400+ hp and 2500lbs. The car weighed 2480 with a half tank of gas. I just did the math and that is 6.2lbs per hp........that is better than my current car. Many people ask which car is faster my Sil or my Z06.............the answer would be the Sil on a highway roll from to 50-whatever. The Z06 is far more superior in every other aspect as the Sil had one purpose and that was to dominate from a 50mph roll.

Here is the graph of 396rwhp/330rwtq

Here is the next run after the above one where the clutch let go @4800rpm

Ahhh Marshall... i remember seeing that car many a nights and all the grudge matchs the happened up here ....with a particular 2nd gen RX-7 and a red 240 fastback... good times. I think the first time i saw your car is when the bumper wasn;t even painted yet.

I know the feeling though, i worked on my white car for 3yrs.... finally had the car done and crunch.... and 2 days later i payed the car off. Im sure as you tweak on the Z it'll get faster and faster until you think the Silvia was slow. Funny thing though, when you had the Sil, you 'enemy' was the Z06... thats all you wanted to beat...... now look at you. Later.
