sigh, stop putting words in our mouth
No one has said that either. But come on do we have to fucking criticize every member on this board cause their car isnt JDM?
"hey that is UGLY" is different than "you fucking ricer , get that piece of shit out of here"
well it was a fairly genuine question. it seems that most of this thread has been about supporting those hit with bashing. i'll just leave it at that you guys know what you're doing and each case will need a different set of judgements.

Explain that if you would Slowdodge.:screwy:
Pretty simple, really. You're a nobody on here. So, like I said, there is no "we" here. Later, QD.

i guess what it really comes down to is the bandwagon mentality. It becomes "cool" to flame someone. So everyone starts doing it to be "cool" to hate the "noob" or the "ricer" etc .
It really is very high school-ish
No one is saying you cant criticize or argue, just do it with some maturity, thats all. Its really rather simple, i mean ive answered every question in here the best that i can, im sure you guys can read between the lines.
hey if someone is a complete douch bag on here, flame them, just do it in the WL , not the rest of the board where sponsors lurk, post, and this will keep the threads from becoming utter shit by the bandwagon people that want to add 45 pages of useless talk to a thread.
make sense?
Mr. Clean
03-13-2009, 09:40 PM
i suppose. you don't want every thread looking like all the threads in the goon squad section lol. goddamn whoreslounge in every thread lol.
well i am normally pretty tactful with anything i say on here so i guess i don't really have much to worry about. i guess i'll let this thread rest... probably. unless i am inspired again lol.

[QUOTE=BobbyFresh]
you are correct... but would it kill you to be nice???...:-) I am sure that on some level you could have some good advice for people... or even have something really worth saying... but treating people that way will not gain you or your words any respect...
and you probably don't care... and if you don't... then why should i or anyone else...:-)
Quit posting. You're not good at it. You're a liar and you're an idiot.
Later, QD.

I do agree with the comment that JITB added about the RLD. If the site is to be cleaned up for the eyes of potential sponsors, should forums promoting porn AND street racing be on here? Like Joseph said, we had cuss words censored out but with a couple of clicks we could watch people having sex and vocalizing the very cuss words we couldn't type. Later, QD.

One more question. What is the policy if a person has a particular legitimate issue with a sponsor that has not been resolved? For example: Customer takes car to sponsor's shop for work. Sponsor removes engine, then stops. Customer waits 2 years asking for his car to be finished, then finally picks up the unfinished car, minus the parts that the owner of the shop has sold off. Customer is out many thousands of dollars (his $7K down in cash), an engine, and a lot of brand new parts - with nothing to show for it. Customer comes on here and shares his story. Will the customer who got screwed over be banned?
Don't say that it doesn't happen. I know of this exact situation happening with a shop in town. I actually have documented multiple major issues with multiple shops over the years, and I just don't tend to bash, but if someone did post up their story, would that be considered bashing a site sponsor? Will legitmate information be withheld in the event that it conflicts with a site sponsor? I've seen many people over the years post up info similar to this, so this is a legitimate question.

legitimate concerns are allowed, so are stories of relevance.
We tend to let those threads play out, and try to keep it between the "sponsor" and the "customer". We weed out bandwagon posts or people that have nothing to do with the topic at hand.

i think we could password protect the RLD and restrict it to people that "qualify" if that makes sense.
In all honestly most sponsors wont care, i mean its labled RLD and says what it is, just like WHORESlounge is alot of stuff potential sponsors dont want to see.
I dont think the site is changing FOR the SPONSORS and to let them RUN it so it appeases THEM, more , i think its ASKING the MEMBERS to be COGNIZANT of the sponsors and what the site is moving towards.

BUYER/SELLER, from my understanding, is NOT for sponsors. It's for the members.

Since that is a possible issue in the future, if the person posted it in the sponsor's personal forum, I would think the rules would be enforced; however, based upon the statements regarding the policy early, the WL is anything-goes. So basically, if someone just bashed a sponsor in WL (no reason, just bashing), that would be ok? Doesn't make sense to me. Did I understand incorrectly?
I tend to like to bring up issues before they happen, so that everyone understands the rules. Again, I am not against the new rules, as they don't really affect how I post, but I like to know the whole policy when there is a potential shift in policy.

I see what you are saying.
I think it's safe to say that if someone bashes a sponsor for no relevant reason we will delete it even in the wl that's parts of the perks of paying. I mean it's not feasible for us to let the members degrade sponsors for the sake of humor.
Now you have a legitimate problem take it to the buyer seller forum (I think we are going to make it anything can go in there) and voice your concerns.
