View Full Version : Need help with ITR tranny

I just pulled off my tranny, and after i pulled out the clutch small metal balls and a ring came out where the transmission shaft goes into the hole. :???: i have no clue what this is or what it does, but i need to replace it and dont know where it goes or the name of it. if anyone can find pics or info :???::(. reps for help, thanks in advance

check your pilot bearing on the flywheel

or the throw out bearing

if its on the shaft inside of the tranny, then its the throw out bearing. You can pick either one up at napa auto parts for about $35.

i was gonna say throwout bearing too...but they already did.

it was the pilot bearing like nomohondas said, bought one at acura for 25$ :)

throw out bearings cost almost if not a hair more then 50 bucks at autozone,napa,etc
I have one if needed LMK brand new also
just sledge hammer the transmission into fifteen pieces, it's useless to you now.
