We're planning to have it at Road Atlanta. This will be during The Mitty/HSR Challenge. This takes place on the weekend of May 1-3, 2009.

Prices are as follows:

1 day (Sat. or Sun) - $25
3 day (Fri. - Sun.) - $45

If we get more than 20 of us at this event, we will get courtesy parade laps around the track. Notice I said lapS. Plural. I don't know how many but that is what they tell us.

MAY 2, 2009 will be the specific meet day for our OSJC meet!!!!

Also they are having a Sports Cars of the World showcase there. Nostalgic Japanese Street Fighters has already been set up to participate in this. It even has us listed in the last issue of Grassroots Motorsports. We will basically be showing the Japanese old school car market.

This is a 2 month heads up so you guys can get yourselves in gear and save up that money. Would be awesome to have the turn out we've had all last year at this event. It would really help our cause to have bigger and better gatherings in the future.

Thanks. Later, QD.

For anyone interested. Go to the Grassroots website, and look up the $99.00 super ticket. It gets you access to the VIP viewing with shade and drinks, a paddock pass, a VIP tour with Grassroots, Dinner on friday and Saturday night, 2 days of parade laps, and 2 days of high speed touring laps, plus infield parking. It's a $250.00 value.
It's going to be a great weekend.

73 Rx2. You'll be the first RX2 at one of our meets. We've had 3's, 4's, 7's, and an re/pu, but no r100's or 2's yet. A friend of mine named Ramesh is supposed to be bringing out an Rx2 he bought from us 2 years ago. Hope to see you out at RA!

Bring Your Club to the Mitty

Every club that brings more than 20 members to the event will receive parade laps courtesy of The Tire Rack. And, of course, you’ll enjoy the other Mitty advantages:

* The Mitty’s Road Atlanta venue offers a great south-central location.
* Several low-cost hotels surround the immediate area.
* Everything is organized and paid for, from the beer at Saturday night’s party to the event insurance.
* We’ll help promote your event.
* We’ll keep your members busy with more than 50 vendors, car corrals, slot car racing, free autocrossing and a full weekend of on-track racing.
* Northeast Georgia and the surrounding states abound with great driving roads. At this time of year, the region is known for its great weather and very sparse traffic.

For more information on how to get your club involved with the Mitty, contact Greg Voth.

Any elaboration, as far as, this applying to us?

We should caravan in, at least 20 deep, then. :goodjob:  I guess if 20 of us show up. That should suffice, too.

Greg already has us down as Atlanta's Nostalgic Japanese Streetfighters, and has us a "corral" ready for us to park in. Once in the "club" parking area, credentials for all of the events, and the schedule of all of the events will be available. The autocrossing is not for spectator cars, rather several cars that are prepared for the event and can be driven on a first come first served basis And, YES! FREE BEER, on saturday night, from the Grassroots Motorsports party. We're camping Saturday night at the track for sure, and if we have everything ready, we'll probably camp Friday night also. It would be cool to have some people decide to camp with us Saturday night. Anyone up for it?
