So for the last week or two (since i put new struts on my car [1990 240sx]) I have had a VERY annoying rattle coming from the passenger rear wheel area. I took the wheel off today to have a look around and found this resting between my dust shield and solid metal right on the top/back of my wheel assembly. The other side doesn't have one, and the only thing above it is wheel well, parts of it are shiny and it has clearly been rattling, just wondering what it is and where it should be, i don't like finding random parts i don't know what are rattling around! =P

haha yeah that was my first thought too, but it doesnt really have any pivoting points and it doesnt look broken... pretty weird thing to find in the rear wheel area tho...

Its looks like a ls/b20 rocker arm. wtf.its a rocker for sure but not from a b series.

could you have ran over it on the road somewhere and it flung it into the wheel well? no other explanation i can think of...:-)

well lol, at quick glance it "looks like" it did. now that I actually look at it not so much... gawd damnit. Thats my comparison, leave me alone i have been sick the last few days... :( the only real diff is there is no adjustment nut,ball and that that is probably bigger..

lol welcome to owning a 240.

As a suggestion, speaking of things that randomly rattle, remove your valve cover and remove your timing chain retainer if it hasn't been removed already. Mine was broken and rattling around on the timing chain.. probably not healthy. I called Nissan to get a new one and apparently they deemed the part unnecessary and they don't even have them anymore.
