so i did a nude shoot for a girl, and wanted to share for C&C

this one has more PP than ive ever done on an image (which is normally none anyways lol) so it took a while to figure stuffs out.

lighting was with two 430ex and two shoot through brellas on stands

nice quality man. im not that smart when it comes to technical side of photo shoots. im trying to read up on it a little bit to learn how things work. i agree with what that one guy said about separating her from the scene a little it tho. could make it flow a little better. lol i also saw the folds in there as well.

Decent for a first time.. I totally agree with that one guys statements about creating seperation between the subject and the background.. the second image seems a little underexposed to me or improper placement of lighting.. I myself am not a flash/lighting person so i can only gauge from my knowledge, it would totally be a trial and error thing for me because im a noob with lighting setups.. Im more of a natural or available light type of shooter.. The female was ok, but i feel you on the reasoning for shooting her.. Id like to see the rest of this set, i may add some nudes Ive shot to my flickr as well.. :ninja:

you are correct. i have been looking at the prints, and it has a yellow tinge to it, i corrected that in photoshop already, but i think its her skin, when the light hits it, its kinda yellowish, all of htem are like that even with a CWB out of hte camera on scene

Im working on another edit right now. Im having to do alot of smoothing to help get rid of the marks that are still left from surgery and healing and stuff, so its a longer process than i like especially since i dont do this often

I think they are very decent shots. I feel they're a lil on the dark side. In the first image, you kinda lose focus on the model, cause it's such a dark BG. IMO. But nice job none the less.

yeah, the black background is a funny story. She showed me a picture of a setup she wanted, and all i saw that would work is a curtain. she is on a step stool, inches in front a curtain, and im like 2 feet away on the bed.

i had no chance to throw a light behind her or anything to separate her. Its ok though, this was all just a test for this weekend. ill have a real background and stuffs.

on original 11, i would have done an umbrella to camera front left

Oh shaunta01 I would have put the flash/umbrella to camera left and then set the second flash to camera right behind and down onto her bare with no umbrella. Also move her about 2 meters off the background and the wrinkles won't be a problem.

On original11, it could work depending on what you were going for. If it was me I would have fired a flash directly over my head onto her and then one to camera right.
