I figured I'd post this because I've heard quite a few people throwing the 1.9 trillion around like its nothing and blah blah blah, its nothing, don't worry about it.. Obviously people don't know the magnitude of how much is going to be spent.

This is copied from another forum.
If you had gone into business on the day Jesus Christ was born, and your business lost a million dollars a day, day in and day out, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, it would take you until October 2737 to lose a trillion dollars.

That's right, after 2009 years of losing a million dollars a day, you'd still have over 700 years left to piss money away.

Edit: Here's a national debt clock for you too.http://zfacts.com/p/461.html

It is 5x that much currently, not 10 and will be 50% more by the end of the year. It will take Obama's fiscally responsible administration less than a year to add more to the national debt that it took the fiscally irresposible Bush administration to amass in 8 years.

Obama's hourly wage to this point.
$154,405,068.29

hmm yes he spent some money, but tally up the 700B bush spent right before leaving office and a wasteful iraq war, yes obama has spent more at this moment, but bush was no saint at the budget either, they have ALL spent $$$$.

Yes Bush asnt fiscally conservative, but then again Obama campaigned on fiscal conservatism and he is making Bush look like a penny pincher. The man has spent 154 MILLION DOLLARS every hour he has been in office. That puts him on pace to spend 1,348,882,676,581.44 by Jan 20, 2010. That number is on top of the actual budget.

agreed. the sad part is the 2trillion we have put in the system is going to make the dollar even weaker. the sad part is we have been in debt since the federal reseve was put in place since it's a private bank.

a lot of states are imposing a lot of new taxes, like 130 different types. the middle class received tax cuts under obama and bush cut taxes for the wealthy, but with all the new taxes coming shortly anyways we will all get hit by it.

I'm seriously thinking about moving to England, sometimes you have to just give in to the fact that life sucks and you want to shift with your left hand, it's simple. I think I'll open a Krispy Kreme.
