I know this guy.
He has been through like what? 3 or 4 motors so far. HAh.
I am still surprised his LsVtec is running so smooth.

first off.. stock B18b is not made to rev up to 8k... next get a walbro 255 fuel pump... no need for AFC neo... and last but not least.. YOU NEED A TUNE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why spend money to come close to reliable then just fuck it up and not get it tuned?

does he have a wideband?? how much timing is he running? There are so many things that can go wrong on an untuned car.

WOW, not only are we going to be detonating like a sumbitch, but we upped the redline so that we can do it for even longer.

with the $ spent on the afc, missing link, extra gas (bet his economy has gone to the sh!tter), as well as the multiple engines he has and will continue to replace...he has and will spend way more $ than he ever would on a tune.
good luck to him.

so usually what the cost/time does it run for a boosted car to get tune is it longer than a N/A setup?? isnt it $140 and hour

I think minimum is 3 hours for boosted setup at 140/hour

It took no where near 3hrs for scotty to tune my boosted sol which is a basically stock b18c1 with an upgraded drag kit. I think it was 2 hrs MAX and probably closer to 1.5 hrs

he needs to jump into the times and get tuned. i ran with a bullshit fmu, pump and revhard kit for 2 years, and ran a 9.33 1/8 mile time on 10 psi. met scotty got tuned then on the same motor and his tune with 450cc dsm injectors on 8psi tune ran 8.44in the 1/8 mile almost a full second on less boost. thats what tunnings about running more power on less boost for a conservative and that motor has been replaced with a built forged motor but the b20 stock internal had a cracked sleeve on # 1 the whole time cause i got steam out the exhaust sometimes at the track and still ran for 4 years all together even on the occasional 10psi. so you do the math, if i hadnt been tuned 2 years ago that block would be toast 2 years ago....TUNE! its a nessecity for a true gearhead!
