It seems that not paying taxes is something that affects politicians nationwide. There also seems to be no consequences for it nationwide also. Whats even worse is that these legislators have the balls to vote no to a bill that allows the ethics committee to take action against tax cheats within the legislature.

Another article on it:

The bill:

I cannot believe this bill failed. I tried to find a breakdown of the vote but I couldnt find it. It may not be posted yet but the bill is SR-452.

what a surprise politicians not following the law or passing a law to keep them in check? That's old news, it's just another way for them to prove that the don't have to follow the same rules as you or me.

When they publish the by name vote I will add those names to this thread. Maybe a few people will remember their names next time they come up for re-election.

I read an article about this in the Macon paper this morning. It mostly focused on Sen. Robert Brown who hasn't paid taxes in two years IIRC.

When I read it I thought the same thing; "How does he vote against that bill?WTF?" It's ridiculous really...

Its not focused on any 1 person. He was just one of the main reasons for the bill.
