A young Nebraska man who stuffed his kitten into a homemade bong faces cruelty charges. He should face more than that, if you ask me.

The Los Angeles Times carries an Associated Press story (http://www.latimes.com/features/custom/oddnews/la-on-catbong3-2009mar03,0,7797816.story) about the horrifying kitty bong smoking incident.

Seems Lancaster County sheriff's deputies who responded to a domestic disturbance call on Sunday alleged they saw 20-year-old Acea Schomaker smoking marijuana through a piece of garden hose attached to a duct-taped, plastic glass box in which the cat had been stuffed.

"This cat was just dazed," Sgt. Andy Stebbing told AP.

Schomaker reportedly told deputies 6-month-old kitten was hyper and he was trying to calm her down.

The contraption little Shadow was stuffed inside was 12 inches by 6 inches. The kitty was timid but in good condition Monday, Capital Humane Society's executive director Bob Downey told AP.

Schomaker is another story. He was probably also timid when he was released from jail after paying a $400 fine on the arrest warrant. But he faces drug and misdemeanor animal cruelty charges.

This should be good. Bet the judge asks him, "Dude, what were you smoking?"

What do you think his punishment should be?

I wrote to the owner of the website like 5 years ago. He/she responded saying that its painless and doesnt hurt the pets in any way. It kinda stunts their growth or something.

I'm just surprised the japanese arent into doing that with humans or something. Hell they eat SHIT, I'm sure they'll pretty much do anything. And no I'm not kidding about eating shit either - they actually do that.
