and even hooked up that way it won't give 0 boost... that line would be pressurized from both sides and even out. and if that line were just hanging off loose the car would idle like crap and barely run if at all.

like i said, external WG if hooked up wrong will make your car go boom, no ifs ands or buts about it. the only way to get one to give 0 boost would be either have it get stuck open or to take the spring out and let it hang open. that being the case, the wastegate is stuck open or the turbo is blown.
