Jw if any1 has ever done a hydraulic clutch linkage swap on a 3rd gen camaro/firebird with a high performance clutch. I'm having trouble figuring out why mine still won't disengage. I've bled the air out of the slave and master cylinders and checked the line for kinks. The slave cyl. moves in and out no problem but it doesn't move very far. One of the guys I work with said it could be the clutch disc is rusted to the flywheel from sitting for so long and to try sprayin warm water on the clutch to free it up. Really hate to pull the tranny again if I don't have to. Any info is greatly appreciated

Clutch was replaced about 6-8 months ago with the original mechanical linkage. Everything worked til the frame cracked, the bracket broke and the pushrod bent. It has a centerforce disc and a hayes pressure plate with a self aligning throwout bearing. Thought maybe the bearing would be different for mechanical verses hydraulic but I compared them at the parts store and they looked the same. Only diffierence I saw was the fork was straight verses curved for the mechanical. I've heard that the disc can rust to the flywheel or pressure plate if the car sits close to the ground in dirt but I didn't see any signs of rust when the tranny was out...
