i'm not sure if this is even possible...but is there a way to modify a welder to make it stronger??? i've had this little welder of mine for about 6yrs, and never really use it because it's not too good with thicker metals. it's a mig welder. i don't think i've ever heard of anyone doing it...most people just buy better welders...but i'm just curious as to whether it's even possible. it operates off of a 110v outlet (which i'm assuming is why it's so weak). i've been searching around on google, but haven't hit anything yet.

i've never heard anything like that to make one stronger. what kind of welder do you have, how many amps does it have?

You're screwed. Even if you up the amperage, the boards would not be able to handle it and you would just fry those.

yeah, i know someone that has one of those same ones.. seems like they are good. yeah. something with more power would most likely need to be run off of 220v.
