I bet your showing them who's boss!!!!!!!

I'm still in Baton Rouge but I got a call from my cousin who has an S4...

"So I was going up this slight hill to my neighborhood and 5 cars were in front of me. One was a Z71 Silverado just spinning and not moving forward, another was some mom in a Tahoe sitting on the side, another was a firetruck stuck on the side with a cop spinning and trying to not let people up the hill and last was a civic in front of me that tried to go up but just slid backwards in the snow. I went into the opposite lane at about 5mph to go around the civic that was sliding backwards and I drove up the hill as they all gave me a blank stare. I couldn't help but laugh at them.I could hear the diffs locking up as it made it right up..

hahah

A call from my mother, an S5 owner..

"I went to go work out and all these people are just stuck everywhere, I was waving at some of them but they just stare at me when I drive by where they couldn't make it up"

Hahah. Wish I was there.

Be careful tonight all, it's going to get icey!!!

I was drive on 54, Everyone was being slow as fuck. I was going in an out of Traffic at a nornal speed (50mph). I got home with no problems. People were pullin to the side and shit. It made me proud of my Audi, But then I went home and look at my repair bill again was like fuck.

^^^ I lol'd at that story. Maybe it was the innocence or the grammar but it was so true. However, our last B6 S4 went 84,000 with NOT ONE PROBLEM before it was sold.

Yea you'd have to drive up north to understand. People here freak out when it rains, and when it snows they just pretend nothing is different :lmfao:

That said, G35x = omfg was that fun!

This is how you handle FWD + slope.

You put the car in 2nd gear (yes autos will start from 2nd), and maintain a constant 15mph (wheel speed). The tires will melt the ice and you'll go up at 1mph. Just dont turn too much or you may slide all the way to the bottom!

First one to respond correctly to this question wins a couple of reps:

What do the stars in Subaru's emblem stand for?

If you got the big one: Not bad.
If you get more than 2: You know your stuff.
If you can name all without googling: You need to get a life...

There is no way a dodge ram's 4wd system is more advanced then quattro. It not only has locking diffs but it senses wheel slip and transfers the locked diff/wheel to the tire with the least amount of slip. It also does that better than any other system out

We got 7-8 inches of snow/slush here in Athens. This pic is right before I went to pick my wife up from work/pull random people out of ditches.

Last year in Wales the S4 came in very handy for pulling a 4x4 pick-up out of a boggy ditch. It's surprising just how much traction it produces, but then it is packing a 344bhp punch.

How did I miss this thread!?!?!

That is awesome, QUATTRO FTW!

Great story, not sure I can match it, but here is mine:
I had a lot of stuff to do that day, and there was no way I was doing it in my Porsche.. So, I borrowed my mom's C6 A6 Quattro.. Man, I was flying around and it was glued to the ground.. I was driving 35 mph in my neighborhood and some guy walking was waving me down to slow down, so I proceeded to flooring it around the turn.. His jaw just dropped :D

Oh and I went mudding in it.. Yes, mudding! Snow, sludge, and mud.. It was so much fun, but my mom sure was pissed when I returned her car with the new color: mud brown..

Quattro is by far one of the most, if not the most advanced awd system out off all..

I was told from an Audi engineer (of course bias, but still) that the Audi system is way more advanced.. Obviously, the Subaru rally seems to perform better..
