ok i have a oil leak coming from around my alternator (http://honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=2513061#) belt and timing belt but have know clue where its coming from. i ve looked and looked anyone know where it could be coming from

clean the whole area off drive a few see if its coming from an external parts of the engine. if u cant find it pull your timing cover back and see whats up. just an fyi if oil is on your belts timing most important find the problem fix it replace belts.

its not on the timing belt its on the alternator belt.my covers are off but cant see where its coming from

is it oil or grease like from a cv boot?

well all we can do is tell you where to look, but I cant see it to tell you where its coming from...best thing to do is clean it really good and then watch for it while its running but might take some miles to get it back out where you can see it again...But ideas to look


cam seals,crank seal,valve cover gasket,oil presure switch,headgasket,oil pan

i just seen this i think i may have found where its coming from pic below there is no stud to bolt it down on this back side
