Project ED8

well, ive begun a new project! I aquired this CRX through a trade with J-Rock (good guy http://importatlanta.com/forums/images/smilies/goodjob.gif).. when i met up with him, he said he had started de-ricing it from his previous owner, just ran out of time and space, so i got it now!!http://importatlanta.com/forums/images/smilies/yes.gif


When i got the car, it was rocking some 13's in the back and 14's in the front!! steelies FTW!! i also picked it up and it had no interior in it, and no doors on it!! but he included them, lol..

the car has about 874 coats of spray paint on it, then a coat of primer, (not the best paint job, but who cares..

interior pieces were previously painted super blue but has been sprayed black over that!! they will all either be replaced or re-done..

car had no motor..

only interior installed when i got it was the dashboard, so when i got it home, i took it out.. underneath the dashboard i found fun goodies!! http://importatlanta.com/forums/images/smilies/cheers.gif .. first was a ton of random wires just kind of ziptied up.. the werent wired to anything, just kinda chillin behind the dash, lol.. next, i found all the ignition wires were spliced and twisted together http://importatlanta.com/forums/images/smilies/11doh.gif .. so naturally, i re-did all those connections!!

the suspension started making things even better http://importatlanta.com/forums/images/smilies/loco.gif !! well, the rear springs are stock civic springs CUT with about 2 coils left, so it's SLAMMED in the back, but stock height in the front.. the driver side strut was bent somehow... http://importatlanta.com/forums/images/smilies/thinking.gif .. and also i have to replace my outer tie rods!! but, on the plus side, somebody had upgraded the front brakes to integra brackes http://importatlanta.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif http://importatlanta.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif !!




i guess now that we have the beginnings of my crx, its time for plans, right? well, it isnt going to be anything woah crazy intense, spinning tires at 80, or w/e.. motor is gonna be a stock LS, MAYBE some simple bolt ons.. Car (jams and all) will be painted Sonoma Red Pearl Clearcoat, with some suprises i cant let out yet, but will update when the time is right! suspension work... of course it will have some http://importatlanta.com/forums/images/smilies/bump.gif http://importatlanta.com/forums/images/smilies/bump.gif .. im sure itll be slammed, camber kits everywhere, maybe some bars here and there!! full interior.. i have a set of fat fives ill be rockin for the time being!!

yeah, im not too worried about it.. things keep popping up wrong, but what do you expect when you buy a shell, right?? :yes: .. but yeah, the body is straight indeed, just needs a TON of sanding... it looks like nothing was sanding or prepped for paint at all, and like i said, there is a lot of paint, lol!!

I remember the day Jason got this car. On the way back from Atlanta, we saw some Mexican get side swiped by a neon or something. Shit was pretty funny. Bent his z3 fender in and it popped back out right after. Oh and the guy he bought it from is a member on here and fucking lied to my friend about the motor being rebuilt and it was trash. So, a big fuck you to that waste of a sperm queer.


Anyways, goodluck on this car, man. Hope you get it done. And keep this thread updated, not another one update wonder..

I'm a straight up kinda guy and that preppy fuck just completely lied to my friend about it being a rebuilt motor, no miles yet, etc.. I was already kinda iff'e about the whole situation, but it wasn't my call on getting it. Fact of the matter is, is that I wasted my whole day getting something that wasn't what it was suppose to be. Plus, I just wanted him to see that and try and say something. I know his ass has seen me comment about it. I seen him lurking a few times. This was awhile back, I've done forgot his sn name though. Friends with some guy that drives a older red Rx7 turbo.

its nothing big, but can add a lot to the looks of your wheels depending on what you have

just picked up the motore for the ED8!! :cheers: .. b18a1.. got it for a fair price.. first thing is replacing gaskets/ timing belt/ etc... (ordered EVERYTHING today [which means it wont even go through until monday :doh: ]) anyways, here are some pics of the motor.. everything looks great with it, and the spark plugs looked good when i pulled them..
