so i took my prelude to allan cox automotive because the AC didnt work. they did some diagnostics and come to find out the ecm that controls the AC has gone out and needs to be replaced, with a $1000 price quote. they didnt mention the need to replace anything else or that any wires where damaged causing it to go bad. my question is where is it located because i wanted to go ahead and do it myself and save to money in to process because it sounds like it may be as simple as taking the dash apart and unplugging the old one and swappin them out, hopefully...
