Losing is relative in this type of war. We are winning militarily, but losing politically. If the politics can get in line with the military's job we could win this pretty easily. This does require US troops to take out targets in Pakistan though.

2. We are not fighting the Afghannies per say, we are fighting more Pakistani's and those conducting operations in/ through that country.

3. We are not there to wage "war" against the Afghan people, most of those we are taking care of there are not even Afghan origin/decent.
