yay! after a total of 8 hours of driving yesterday i was able to pick up a seemingly good condition shortblock for $75!! next week ill drop it and the sr20 crank off with Big J and the build shall officially begin

yes sir. long ass drive, getting saved from a superspeeder ticket by a $60 dollar radar detector and pure luck, dicking around in bass pro shops, a freakin awsome staff at a amazing scrap yard, and some of the most epic country side houses and scenery made it a blast. the fact that i got a good short block for so cheap made it that much better. they even had it stripped down and ready to go for me 1 hour before i got there. i will def suggest Mccarthy auto salvage to everyone and it was worth the trip

They really do look 1 piece. The center piece is pressed into the barrel I believe.

Not sure if I'm going to polish them up with black center, re-sell for profit, or paint them white with blue work stickers. They do need restoration in any case.

It all depends on how prudent everyone is. Too much low. lol. First the axle was sitting on the swaybar, so I cut that out. Then the axle was sitting on the frame. Raised it to the monster truck how you saw it and something is still hitting.

If you haven't been to this race it really is one of the best around with multi class racing on the same track at the same time there isn't really any down time. Just a little update. There's a new meet that has been going on that's been pretty big and successful especially for Carrollton. It happens on Sunday nights at 7:30 at the Advance Auto Parts on Bankhead Highway. Come check it out if you're bored.
