Anyone play the demo? This game comes out today and im definately picking up a copy. Kind of the same style play as Gears of War only faster.

Its pretty good, I wouldn't say the best shooter game. Can't compete with COD4.

COD is bull crap period... It takes no skills to kill people in almost all of the COD series. Aim assistance is retarded. Randomly spawning in front of people is gay too. A blind person could literally pick up the control and kill people. I am a fan of Rainbowsix because it atlease requires skills to shoot people in the head and the face movements, also the graphics are still better. Thats just my opinion.

Its a server based set up like Rainbow six where you can search rooms. im giving it atleast another week before i think about getting it. I dont want to waste my money like i did with COD.

You can change sensitivity to make the controls move faster, just an fyi.

COD may seem realistic but there is so much lag and bullcrap kills. I compare the kill cam to the way i was shot and it doesn't even come close. half the time people dont even look like they are shooting at me when i die. the spawning it garbage. definately a game for noobs that requires no skills to be good.

I am 2 kills to 1 death ratio if not better on both games so i am by far no noob at these games. Ive put in lots of time on both of the games and rainbow six is the better game to me but thats just my opinion. people like COD because of the dogs, air strikes, how easy it is to kill people and be decent. Rainbow six you cant just run into a room and be good. There is very little inconsistencies like COD. COD i can go 25-4 one round then 14-14 the next. playing in the same room. To me it shows who the skilled players are and who isn't.

I dont know much about Killzone but i know it can be crazy with the high amounts of players allowed. It has been named the game of the year so we will see. Im still waiting for more people to play it before i get it.

Back to KZ2. Ive been playing on the highest difficulty that it will let me for now and this game is pretty difficult. Since school and work were both closed yesterday I sat down and played for just about 8hrs. The only thing that I dont like about the game is the stupid partner that runs around with you gets in the way. He also runs off and dies alot and then you have to go and revive him. This game is one of the best FPS games I have played in the past 15yrs. I would go so far as to say its on my top3 with Unreal Tournament and Duke Nukem 3D.

i have played the demo so i know its like. I haven't played the actually released game. I have felt the slow movements. The reason I said i heard it was because there was a guerilla games interview where one of the makers of the game stated that the armor and gun weights would cause slower movement. I will find the video. im pretty sure its in the playstation blog but here is what a cnet review said.

I know can change the sensitivity I just read some more about it. When i said delay im saying a slower reaction time due to the weight of guns etc. not as in a lag in the game.

I don't claim to be the best in any game because thats just not my style. I would hope you would be better than me at COD seeing as I have only played for about 48 total hrs. When most people have played over 500hrs. I can still hold my ground. Like I said I don't play it much I play Rainbow Six because I enjoy it more. I am alittle over 2kills to 1 death on both of the games so that's where I stand. I believe I have over 2-3k kills on COD so I have pasted the rookie stage I would say. I'm not as familiar with things as I am with Rainbow Six Vegas 2. I do believe there is lag in the game. you can see it in the kill cams and when your shooting at people. I have played numerous fps games so I understand the concept of lag. No game will be lag free unless everyone is running good internet speeds to a dedicated server. You will always have people joining rooms that run 2-3k megs on their download and .2-.3 megs on their upload. Most people in Cali run low numbers like that so some can not support the vigorous download/uploading added with the other computers etc.. in their house. Since you have played so long in COD I know you have seen people bouncing around in their movements and people not aimed at you hitting you. I'm not gonna sit here and argue about who is better or not at a game. I have seen what I have seen and COD is not my cup of tea.

Xbox LIVE is way better than PS3 Online, and if you think otherwise you haven't played both.

I have played both and still have my XBL account, really the PS3 is a stronger system over the 360 (mainly due to fewer electronic errors and malfunctions).

Really the controls are not laggy on KZ2, especially since the 1.20 patch that recently came out tightened up the original control setting (and if you upped your sensitivity you wouldn't notice the weighted feeling they had). I'm on Killzone nearly every day when possible since, really it is better than COD4 (still can't wait for MW2 COD6) But everyone has their own opinions on this.

Oh last I checked Gamebattles.com and MLG are the same thing (Same Company), just that GB allows users to enter into tournaments from their own homes.

I did get killzone and the controls are not laggy anymore after that update. The controls are actually pretty fast, sensitivity wise. I have enjoyed playing the game. I have just used the pistol to get my accuracy up before i start playing with my rifle. I have about 14.5hr on the pistols and .5 on a rifle/shotgun. I just reached the last rank yesterday which is quite disappointing because it took absolutely no time to rank up all the way. I wish it would have been alittle more challenging. I am working on all my ribbons and badges now. It's definately a change of game and I also prefer it over COD, but I was never a fan. I think Killzone requires some getting use to the control movements to get good headshots etc..

I haven't touched the story mode but i heard its pretty difficulty and frustrating. I might try it one day if my internet goes out or something.

MLG and gamebattles are pratically the same thing. To be honest the "MLG Pros" are not as good as some of the people I have seen play. This is only my experience in Rainbow Six Vegas Series. I played in an open tournament for RB6V1 a while back and the Pros were not impressing. MLG and Gamebattles share sites, MLG hosts tournaments in city etc. Gamebattles dues ladders and tournaments for people over the internet to compete and also can allow them to play in bigger tournaments.

Back to Killzone I do enjoy a change from the realistic modern warfare fighting. Some of the abilities are cool. I am mostly an engineer I build the bots, fix grenade/ammo bins and shot people with my m4 pistol. I played with the sniper alittle last night and I wasnt impressed with it. Ive never been the sit back and snipe people time. The only thing i didn't like was the cloaking ability. I mean come on you already have a sniper so you are already back in the cut of the map. People will barely see you as it is and now you give them cloaking ability. You are basically invisible to all the time which is a huge disadvantage for everyone else.

im planning on playing veteran but i have had it a week and havent even had enough time to get past the first level. tomorrow is my day off so hopefully i will get somewhere. is there anyway to update the game through external storage instead of the internet? i cant probably find a way to get my ps3 online out here but it would be a pain in the ass

From what i remember, you cant even shoot when you jump. :gay:

Just because you can shoot when you jump doesn't make it a better game. Imagine real life with your gun and jumping around to shoot. How hard would that be to do that. I think they opted out of jumping and shoot to make it more realistic. You would be one good shot if you could jump hold a rifle and kill people all at the same time. just not plausible to me. only thing i wish killzone carried over was the ability to take cover. they have it in the story mode but not online.

Finally beat the game in veteran last week. Now I'll just have to beat it in Elite mode. I also cant wait for KZ3.
