try spybot.
I had a problem come up a couple of days ago. I found the program in the add/remove and removed it manually

Try downloading a different spyware... i downloaded ad-aware and kept getting spyware still... then i got microsoft antispyware and it detected different spyware and eventuall got rid of it.... I think some anti spyware programs definitions are not as up to date as some... don't know if that will help but just thought I would give my 2cents

LOL I've never seen that thing on the desktop before. :p

Forget Ad-Aware and Spyboy, get SpySweeper. Get rid of Norton and get McAfee (like Paul said). :)

Best way is to just reformat and stay away from pron sites. :p

Its probly imbeded it self in your computer registry, which sucks cause its a bitch, beacuse if you go into registy Edit and delete the wrong thing then you whole system is SCREWED...so i wouldnt recomend that unless your desprate... but what you can do is look and if anything looks fishy then search for it on Google and if it comes up then delete it...other than that all the programs previously mentioned will work decently

imbeded it self in your computer registry

This just happened to me. I've found it in the registry but I can't delete it. This will be like my 4th reformat in a month. I think that it stays on my hard drive even if I completly reformat it. ugh...

Time to reformat again.

I use spysweeper and the AOL free version of McAfee and all there other crap that comes with it... No spyware on mine. I'd definatly say try Spy Sweeper, then do CTRL ALT DEL go through all the listed processes ending task on all the ones you know aren't neccesary, and once you get your computer clean get a damn firewall! Zone Alarm Pro solves all my problems.

control panel, display, click the desktop box, click customize desktop, click web tab, there should be an active desktop checked. uncheck or delete it. that should fix it.

4th reformat this month... you need to stay off the internet. it is good to reformat your system about every 6 months, so keep good backups

kev bring your system to me and i'll fix it...

so keep good backups

I've got a backup of all the stuff that I want/need on the other 2 computers that I have. It's just that my best computer is the one that is screwed up. The disk that came with it (dell disk) stopped working so... i'm using a hacked windows, which means no updates. I just need to learn how to use the linux that I have a little better. It can't get viruses from what i've heard.
