I'm installing it now. So far so good.

I was impressed that it detected that I had dual displays and automatically configured them.

I wonder if DX10 performance will be any better.

Chaos and Fast-tech, The download time has passed off mircosoft website. However You can download a torrent version of the beta. Get a legit key code from mircosoft website. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/dd353205.aspx

Well its working well - and it is FAST - but it seems to be what Vista should have been in the first place.

It has DX11, and well - honestly there isnt too much to report.

I like it, but it doesnt seem to be anything more than a fixed version of Vista.

DONT download it unless you're a power user. This version WILL EXPIRE in a few months and then you'll be SOL if you're an end user.

Question is how computer savvy are you. If you know nothing about basic computer repairs. This not for you. If you can do the basic repairs, then this might be worth your while.

I was definetly worth it to me. But remember vista driver are required to make some of your stuff work.

Thanks! I think I'll pass on this one. Not quite ready to dive into issues I may not be able to fix. I'm pretty competent when it comes to basic computer repairs, maintenance, etc., but I don't think I'm confident enough to venture off into Microsoft's experiment lol. I appreciate it though!

lol well glad I could help, but uf you don;t feel confident as running it as the main os you could do a dual boot with xp or vista, Its not hard at all. So that way you can experminet with out touching your important stuff on your main os.

Best OS they've done since XP... fast boot, low overhead, slick look, etc... I'm running a box at work on our network to try shit out. I haven't ran into any problems yet :goodjob:
