[EDIT* I'll make sure to make this my build thread soon as I find a clean enough chassis to start with ] Thanks

Well I wanted to go a different route..

We all know what the OEM VC looks like:

We first started w/shaving all of those unsightly letters and the bobo [H]:

We then attacked the unsightly holes up front. There are 3 small squares and a 10mm bolts into each of them:

Then welded up all the holes upfront along w/the 10mm sparkplug wire bracket mounting holes:

Went ahead and cut that terrible looking arm coming out of the backside near the distributor.[also sparkplug wire bracket mounting location]:

Then smoothed everything out and got ready for tomorrow:

Updates as we progress in the VC.Some may think it is a waste to put so much effort and work into a SOHC but to each his own..I♥mySOHC's

Well changed up some idea's.I had plans to keep these:
http://i429.photobucket.com/albums/qq14/ef_james22/006-6.jpg

But today I chose to rid of them:

Next on the list is to fill them in smooth everything out and get ready for paint I hope.

Honestly, I didnt really like the look of those sticking up with the holes filled it. Seemed pointless to weld them up and still have it protruding from the VC for nothing.
This one is gonna look good all shaved out.

Yea well I had something going to go w/that but chose to just shave those bad boys on down.I also agree on this one being more pretty being shaved fully.I just can not wait to finish it up.

Thanks for the positive words,I have been hated on since it is Sohc.

Hey, Ive always been a styling guy and just now decided to build a performance car. Probably will be one of my lasts too. But I want mine to be form AND function.

Yea I hear that.Im finally getting out of speed and all that garbage. It is fun for some but I just am not a huge fan of it really.I just want to make a clean simple 88-91 civic and be good.
