I have an internal hard drive that's not installed in anything. It has pics and stuff on it. Is there a way I can retrieve this stuff without having to put it in a computer?

Thanks. Later, QD.

yeah, what these guys said. They're even cheaper w/o the enclosure. Your local computer repair shop should have one. IDE to USB adapter...will come with the power adapter as well.

I don't have a laptop, so that eliminates the first option. I don't know whether i need a SATA or IDE unit. Later, QD.

Does the hard drive have a long, skinny connector (approx 2 inches long) + power or does it have a very small connector? post a pic. most likely its an IDE.

if the back of the harddrive has tons of little metal pins then it is IDE if it has black plastic back then it is SATA
