SO Yesterday i was supposed to take delivery of an 07 Audi A3 S-Line but The Dealership decided to start fucking around and lied to me, my wife and her Dad when he was hanging out at the dealership with us. ( long story) Any ways tomorrow I am going to Check out a MS6 and i have heard rumors floating around about some engine issues but I have not been able to find any substantial evidence of such problems. so I have come to the IA community to see if anyone here can vouch for these problems or can refute them. Thanks for your time.

The only major issue is the random powerloss. People are having episodes with the car suddenly losing ~ 50% power for a few seconds or longer. Engineers have stressed the use of 93 octane and feel that the knock sensor is too sensitive. The powerloss is a temporary limp mode. They say it can be caused from heat saturation from short, stop and go trips, being too cold or poor fuel quality. I can't find anything else on common issues other than what mazda has put forth in recalls and tsb's. Your welcome..... bitch. :)

I found that while surfing the MS6 Forums but, I was unable to substantiate the random engine popping that the MZRs are accused of.

I cant even find where they are being accused. Are you sure you just didn't dream it and then I made it make sense?

the only real big issue from what I remember after looking at these things for months on end was that it wasn't too uncommon for the seals on the turbo's to blow. from what i remember reading its almost impossible to tell if the seals have been blown with the stock exhausts but if you go aftermarket youll notice almost immediately.

I think that's what happened to the guy's out here with a MS6.
