well - its a 1989 Chrysler Conquest TSI - she was bought out in Detroit Michigan for $2k FLAT! The guy seriously offered it to ME for 2grand ( after I emailed him asking him how low he would go - he asked if I would take it for $2k - wedding was coming up and moving too... soo least to say, I jumped on it) but man, that goes to show you how far one will go for a car that they like... plus the mods and it being rebuilt, - it CANNOT be beat!... but damn, I gotta find a catalytic converter now... )

ON TO THE PICS!

I want to retint the taillights back to red - maybe if I can get ahold of some, but some euro-spec taillights would freaking rock! Right now its got red LEDs :goodjob:

well for one thing, they handle awesome

history has it that back in like '83 when the import manufacturers went to war with each other, it was the StarQuest that sent everyone else back to the drawing boards for the Supra and RX7

whats so good? -shrugs- A) its widebodied, b) its RWD, C) its turbocharged, d) its intercooled too, E) err, you can find them easy enough manual at a decent price in awesome shape, f) hmm... lemme get back to you on that =D

go check out that guy - ask him if you can test drive or get a ride in one

It's kinda like the DSMs and 3/S. chyrsler doesn't really make them, they just fnd mitsu and take a sister car for themselves. A friend of mine has one, even that rare hood with the functional hood scoops (made in only one year). How is that thing man, rusted at all, coming from detroit I wonder? Are you planning on keeping that engine or swaping something in? I know most people swap in differnt engines....athough yours seems good as is. That's a reallt good price, as long as it's not rusted. oh yeah I love how the word "turbo" is EVERYWHERE on those cars...makes me laug every time :lmfao:

actually it does have some salt damage on a frame rail and just behind a fenderwell, and thats IT

guess they never drove it in the winter

and hey - I dig the "Turbo Turbo Turbo Turbo Turbo..." seatbelts :D

lets people remind them what it is

hehe - I say the Starion and the Conquest are when Mitsubishi and Chrysler were screwing each other before they got married and birthed DSMs

the starion is nothing more than a birth defect from what it should've been.

but then again, you're probably posting pictures of someone elses car again and claiming it as your own like you did on SQC and SEDA.

hmm, well Spyder Man - we're in the same town - Lawrenceville - easy enough to prove the car is mine - unless you meant the birth defect part, which in the end doesnt matter much

Erin's was fast. And home-built, from scratch, by him.

On a more courious note... What size motor is in that? 4cyl? For some reason I was thinking it's a 6cyl.

2.6L 4 cylinder... SOHC, 2 valves per cylinder. super shitty throttle body injection, and a head that flows about as much as one cylinder on a B-series honda engine ;)

^Damn.

If I had a thread on my old SVO, I'm sure I'd be bumping it 1 1/2 year later too.

One dealer ran his through Bishop Bros. auction about a month ago. Only had 102,xxx miles on it too. But my grandfather didn't feel like buying it.
