It will be at 4k before the end of summer. The Russian Ruble is on the edge of collapsing and the Russians have been buying alot of our debt to secure their ruble. The Chinese economy is in a very severe downturn because of so much lower spending here. This will cause them to buy up less of our debt. The same is true of the japanese economy. The european economy is largly based on ours also and downturns here lead to high prices for the same good there.
By Nov 4 of next year we will see the rule collapse, the euro and the chinese economy will be stagnant, and the dollar will be nearly worthless. This will cause the DOW to look like the NASDAQ and we will see several forturn 500 corporations in bankruptcy or near it. Getting a loan or credit card will be impossible. All of this combined will cause countries to look over their boarders for a greener pasture. It will also push OPEC to drasticly raise oil prices and probably lead to someone attacking them to get control of their oil.
WWIII will be upon us before 2010. I wonder if the first shots will be fired by then.

i think it is going to be a nuke war
only 3 potential enemies have nukes, China, Russia and Pakistan. Russia and China have the nukes to flatten the US, but we also have the nukes to flatten them. They will not use them because they have the sanity and common sense to know that. Pakistan has a few nuke bombs and a few short and medium range nuke missles, but we know where those are and we would be able to get to them and take them out of commission before they could be fired off. Even if they were fired, they could not reach the western hemisphere.
Now Iran and N. Korea have been trying to get nukes and I think they would nuke nuke material to make dirty bombs and dirty missles, but those have a VERY small nuke footprint compared to the nukes that the US, China, Russia, France, and England could use.

I agree that it is going to center on the oil producing countries, but we will see combat in the US. It wont come in the form of large scale ground combat though. It will be mostly air to air combat over the costal areas. We will also see air to surface missle attacks on costal areas such as loading docks and ship builders.
We will see some small scale ground combat though because of special forces infiltrating the US and causing trouble.

Interesting was some economists saying its going to take something along the lines of the "dot com boom" or the invention of the internet to pull us out of this.
Every recession sees some kind of "boom" or innovation that seems to bring us out of it. People dont know what that could be, and where we are heading.
Some have argued the legalization of weed is coming ,as a tax revenue, it would give us unbelieveable money , it would spur businesses all over the country , etc
Not saying i agree with it, but i dont disagree either. Kinda neutral but its going to take something drastic like that to bring us out of this, i dont see that yet

If there is an innovation, but I seriously doubt there will be large enough of one to make us independant of foreign oil, not to mention oil completely. To be completely independant of oil would mean the end of plastics and every other petroleum based material we use.
Phase 1 of pulling out of this needs ot be producing our own oil though. Contrary to the liberal belief system, you can work on alternative fuels while benefitting from the ones we currently have. There is no alternative power source other than nuclear that can even start to replace oil. Wind, solar and geothermal are far too inefficient to use on a large scale. NG would raise the price of NG to a point that it would out of reach for most people. Electric, we you need something to power those batteries from so thats out. Ethanol, well, just look at how inefficient it is. It takes more energy to produce it than it creates. On top of that only an idiot would use food for fuel.

honestly not trying to attack you, but your statement of there is no alternative power source other than nuclear that can even start to replace oil is very, very wrong....amazing what a CURRENT college level course can teach you....just one example; researchers in germany recently figured out how to capture only a fraction of the energy released from a single lighting strike and its power is enough to provide enough energy to New York city for about a week....there is also thousands, yes i said thousands, of natural and experimental gases that have the same exact properties as oil...just because the news and gov't act like they have no idea whats going on with alternative energy doesn't mean there isnt a solution. look up some peer reviewed scientific journals and you'll discover a ton of alternatives to oil use.

I know there are a great many EXPERIMENTAL sources, but nothing that is within a decade to being ready for large scale use. You also have to remember that any source that is not constant is not useful. If that lightning technology is used, what do you use if NY doesnt have a storm for a month? Spend 3 weeks in the dark?
Maybe I wasnt clear enough in my other post. There is no alternative energy source that is ready to be deployed tomorrow even if unlimited funding was provided to create the required infrastructure. That statement holds true for both vehicles and electricity.

have you seen the interview with a senator who was asked about the meeting and literally blew up on the reporter and used obscene language. i think some of the stuff is christian BS made to scare people but some things that have happened over the last 10 years makes me wonder, it doesn't mean its all true. did you know that the rockafeller family, rothchild family, and jp morgan(just to name a few) were the ones who basically came up with the federal reserve and had a secret meeting on jekyll island to pass the legislation years ago. did you also know that the bush family made their money by laundering nazi money and selling oil to hitler. there is a paper trail, most people just ignore it. even our founding fathers warned of the same evil, thats why they wanted away from britain. like i said its not all true, but something is going on.

yes they are different, but if its all connected thats when a lot of rights were stripped from the people(patriot act) and in my opinion when the ecomy started going down. i have been in sales for years and since we went to iraq sales has sucked!! i still think we will have an amero soon. i definately think the market will go the lowest it has ever been by summer. since the stimulus was passed the market has dropped like a rock, except today for some reason.

There is some truth to the Amero conspiracy talks. i forget the bankers name, but basically the person from the UK that rigged thier stock market.
He owned all the newspapers, and basically falsely leaked that Napolean had won the war, everyone sold off everything he bought it all up, then when it was found out Napolean had lost, he made BILLIONS over night.
There is alot of stuff going on behind the scenes we do not know about. Do i believe in the the 9/11 conspiracy, no, but do i believe there is stuff happening and people WANTING us to fail, yes.

same story for the great depression, jp morgan, rockafeller set up the markets to crash and bought most of america for pennies on the dollar. it explains the treasury part in zetgeist, it also has a part on religion and 9/11. the religion and fed parts of the movie are the best. i am not fully sold on 9/11 but some of the evidence makes you wonder, even a man out there says he found thermite and can trace to which company made it. watch this 2 hour video, some is BS but some is good.

Go talk to the people who own the business. What's so scary about having coffin lining ready for a disaster? Such as a hurricane, a CDC attack, etc. That's not scary that's called looking ahead. If they didn't plan ahead and be ready if something did happen and they had to wait for those they would be fussed at forever.
That issue with those "coffins" was fixed months ago, the truth is out, who owns them, who makes them, etc. It's nothing special, they have been there for YEARS.

BREAKING
Speaking at a landmark press conference today, California Assemblyman Tom Ammiano (D-San Francisco) introduced comprehensive legislation to tax and regulate the commercial production and sale of cannabis in a manner similar to alcohol.
"With the state in the midst of an historic economic crisis, the move towards regulating and taxing marijuana is simply common sense. This legislation would generate much needed revenue for the state, restrict access to only those over 21, end the environmental damage to our public lands from illicit crops, and improve public safety by redirecting law enforcement efforts to more serious crimes", Assemblyman Ammiano said. "California has the opportunity to be the first state in the nation to enact a smart, responsible public policy for the control and regulation of marijuana."
The proposal is the first marijuana legalization bill ever introduced in California.
"It's time for California taxpayers to stop wasting money trying to enforce marijuana prohibition, and to realize the tax benefits from a legal, regulated market instead," said Dale Gieringer, director of California NORML, a sponsor of the bill.
As introduced, Ammiano's measure would allow for the licensed production and sale of cannabis to consumers age 21 and over. Licensed cultivators would pay an excise tax of $50 per ounce of cannabis. In addition, the proposal would impose a sales tax on commercial sales. (Ammiano's proposal would not affect the state's medical marijuana law, allowing patients and caregivers to grow their own medicine.)
If enacted, the measure would raise over $1 billion per year in state revenue, according to an economic analysis by California NORML, available online here: http://www.canorml.org/background/CA_legalization2.html
Ammiano's bill comes at a time of growing public support for legalizing marijuana. A recent Zogby poll reported that nearly six in ten west coast voters support taxing and regulating marijuana like alcohol. Faced with a $40 billion budget deficit, other public officials have joined in endorsing Ammiano's bill, including San Francisco Sheriff Mike Hennessy and Betty Yee, a member of the State Board of Equalization, which oversees collection of sales taxes.
Currently, tens of millions of dollars are paid annually in state and local taxes by licensed distributors of medical marijuana. However, these sales only represent a fraction of the overall statewide marijuana market. "The millions of dollars raised each on the sales of medicinal cannabis is only the tip of the iceberg," Gieringer said. "Kudos to Assemblyman Ammiano for proposing a path-breaking bill that would benefit our economy, safety and freedom by making marijuana a winning proposition for California."

I love conspiracy theorists. They use half truths and straight up lies and try to spin them off as fact. My favorite is definately the WTC ones though. The NWO is another good one, but still not nearly as funny as the WTC.
As far as everyone being scared, I guess we should blame that on the fear mongerer sitting in the Oval Office. It seems like everytime he says something the markets drop 5%. My personal fears come from hyper-inflation, drasticly higher taxes on businesses, and decreased national secuirty. Add to that, no confidence in the moron sitting in the oval office, or any of the other morons sitting in their plush offices on Capitol Hill. All of this happening in a time that countries that are less equipped to handle these hard times may look across borders for an answer leads me to be VERY worried about the future. Now today I hear that Congress wants to pass another 410B bill. Since we couldnt afford the 700B bill last year and the 790B bill this year, where are getting the money to pay for this one? This year alone we will run somewhere in the area of a 2.5T debt. This means that Obama will have amassed half of what Bush did in 8 years in less than 2 months. I guess there goes fiscal responsibility. The Chinese already dont want to buy our debt and they wont buy much more without a drastic increase in intrest rates. When that happens we can say hello to 20%+ intrest rates again.

the bad part is AIG is asking for more money as it is, where did the 1st 150billion go.
citigroup lost like 90% of its value, along with bank of america, merryll lynch, and many many others. Citi is already openly talking about nationalizing. the sad part is housing is what started all this, the deregulation of mortgages in the last decade made half of this mess, and the other half was done by greedy people. legalizing herbs nationwide would be good and would generate"green" jobs and would generate a lot of revenue. and yes they are trying to take our guns away. and yes jimmy everyday(except today) that obama has talked of the economythe stock market has dropped. and vteckidd a lot of economists that are very smart say the stimulus will do little to nothing. and the first 700B was a joke, it helped put is in more debt to people we don't want to be in debt to.

if yall think all this is bad, then do something about it. stop sitting around here typing on IA and bitching that the world and the country is coming to an end. if it is, stand up for what you believe in and do something about it. bitching like you are, telling people how blind they are isn't going to do anything, especially if everyone is a "sheeple." if what you say happens. then it happens, shit happens. get over it. every country has to go through ups and downs. now im not saying i want it to, but if it has to happen it has to happen. the only way to stop or control it is to stand up for what you believe in.
Ok , lets just DO something about it! God, why did i think of that!
You realize the VAST majority of America is uneducated when it comes to social issues. So typing in here is DOING something, its showing the side that most people dont know exists.
Just cause you people choose NOT to believe it, or even do your own research on the matter doesnt meant its not true. I have seen a bunch of "HAHA LOL " posts but NO ONE is aruging the other side or even responded to the questions i posted.
Write your congressman! oh wait, they dont listen to us anyway.

look, i am not saying that none of it is true, hell it maybe, but its not going to stop if it is true if no one does anything about it. you doing what your doing by posting on here isnt going to do a lot. i mean you said it yourself. all you get is the "haha lol" posts. i dont post in here that much because i don't do a lot of research on stuff like that. ill admit it. but i still have my view points.
the thing that bugs me about a lot of the posts that are done on here is that the are immediately turned towards the downfall of something. i mean hell just cause you did research and are judging by statistics, how the fuck do you know bad shit will happen? and to be honest, so be it, if it does it does. we as a country put ourselves into the mess. it wasnt our government, it was our people. if we were smart enough to think on our own two feel. which were not. then we could have done something about the corruption in washington a long time ago.

WHY do you think it is so far fetched?
http://www.ltadvisors.net/Info/DJIAForecast_files/image004.jpg
"The chart above from Steven Williams at CyclePro.com shows the Dow Jones Industrial Average adjusted for inflation since 1800. As you can see, when the effects of inflation have been extracted, the DJIA is much more cyclical than Wall Street promoters would care to admit. In optimistic peaks of 1834, 1906, 1929, and 1966 the DJIA subsequently moved to the bottom of the long term trend channel. These bear markets were either inflationary, such as the 1966-1982 bear market or deflationary such as in 1929-1932. We have also noticed that inflationary/deflationary crashes tend to alternate. We suppose this is because Mr. Market likes to fool even the bears. Today we are again at the top of the trend channel. How will we fall? Most bears remember and fear the stagflation of the 1970s. However with debt levels currently high, inflation cannot be maintained for an extended length of time. Debtors would merely file for bankruptcy or foreclosure (as they have begun recently). Instead a deflationary spiral similar to 1929-1933 or 1834-1842 is likely. It appears the rule of alternation will continue.
This chart also shows possible future levels for the Dow Jones Industrial Average. According to the trend lines followed since 1800, the DJIA could reasonably fall to 3000 by 2012. This is our target."
http://www.ltadvisors.net/Info/DJIAForecast.htm
WHat do you think is going to happen when the bottom drops out an we are at 2000-3000 on the DJIA and unemployment which is rising rapidly is at 20%?

im with simon. to me it seems like that all you want to post is the doom and the gloom shit. like i said if you want something done. run for an office start up a movement, do something. otherwise your bitching and moaning about shit that you think will happen just because a chart says so may happen. or it may not. simon is right. there are plenty of businesses that are doing god right now. what does that mean? well probably that our country is going in a new direction, should it not? yes, it should our country is so fucking scared of change that they want nothing different. this is why all you fags that are dissing what is going on right now are talking all this doom and gloom shit, because its all different. its not the normal "cover up and dont tell the american idiots anything" shits getting thrown out to the forefront now. i think thats a good thing. people like you an a few others in this thread are why this country is going down hill. you all are the ones that are making people not buy shit.
i said this in another thread: the reason banks arent lending is because people like you are telling the average american that the economy is going down hill. which makes people not want to buy anything. if there was none of that. people may start to wise up and buy things, which in turn would probably make banks start lending because they see people being a little more lenient with their money. its all about cause and effect. all the causes and effects that you have pointed out are that if one person spends their money. they are going to fucked for the next few years.
people need to fucking grow up and stop assuming the worst. like i said in my previous post, if this shit happens, then so be it. we got ourselves into this situation. our government was built by the pepole for the people and we let the people get over run by big business. its not their fault, they jumped on the opportunity. its our fault.
all i am saying is that if something is to happen and our economy is to tank again, then so be it. we'll just get right back up hopefully and maybe even be better off then we were before. the only reason people are freaking out like i said was because all thats going on is something that no one is used to, so what to people do? cry about it. thats only going to make thing worse cause it shows are country dont give a shit and dont want to adapt with times.

the way that you're educating is the wrong way though, these people that you are "educating" aren't going to understand what you are trying to do. most people in america like i said wont listen to you anyways because our whole entire country is afraid of doing something different. like i said before they are afraid of change. regardless of whether or not you post up that "not doom and gloom" guy, your reputation shows a close-minded individual that all he thinks about is the worst case scenario. i dont think i have heard one positive thing from you yet.
if you are going to preach this stuff like you are, you need to have a positive aspect with it, a rebuttal other wise no one is going to continue to listen to you. i have said it before and i will say it again. WE did this to ourselves, we took the country that was supposed to be run by the people for the people and let big business take over with out doing anything about it. it was not their fault. they capitalized on opportunity. just like your capitalizing on many of the members on here and freaking them out cause you know the majority of them do not look up this stuff. and, because your so close minded many people that try to prove you wrong and or show you something different from a different side. you usually wont have anything of it and start to bash someone elses statement. your theories about things that are going on are getting old. yes, we all know we are in a rut but the fact that you as a person always post up negative aspects of a situation, doesnt show much for your knowledge besides going on the internet and looking up some stuff. i guarantee you that even the people that your getting this stuff from have two sides to a theory or story. thats what your supposed to do. doing it so once sided as you are in my opinion makes you look more non-intelligent then you try to act.

one thing i have noticed about you kidd and a lot of the things that you post is very repetitive. you say many of the same things in a lot of your threads, in doing so im getting the idea that you are just trying to ram your thoughts into peoples heads. i have seen many things that you have posted over the past few months now and when the election was that were very repetitive. especially when you are trying to prove a point. your points dont hold water a lot of the time in my opinion cause you keep saying the same thing over and over again when someone tells you to show proof. its not proof its just reiterating your own thoughts in a different form.
in all honesty this is why i dont pay attention to have the things that you post because of what i posted previously and how you post. you don't have true substance behind what you post besides what someone else said and not your beliefs. like i said in my previous post, even the best economists/professors/law makers are optimistic and have a good and bad side to the story. yours is just straight down with this and down with that talk.

this is exactly what i am talking about man. i have posted multiple times in this thread, and you just seem to ignore what i have said and post something that again is repetitive. stating that we may be heading towards a collapse but so what? its our own fault. its not the governments its ours. why dont you pay attention to what people have said. i have said that countless times that we may or may not be headed towards a collapse. and if we are, then so be it, we need to fucking start over anyways, this country has become so corrupted and gotten away from the original principles that it was founded upon. if we as a country want to continue to succeed and be the big powerful nation that we are, we have to adapt to the times. if we dont we will fall and collapse.
something is definitely broke and we definitely need to fix it. if we dont then we will fall. but what is the harm in that? that apparently is the only way that will make our country wake up. this economy was built to let everyone realize a dream. with the way things are going. no one is able to realize that dream. especially with big business in charge. if we let them keep running things it will continue to be this way and we as a country will not succeed and completely fall. we need to start over, if a collapse is what makes it happen, then thats what needs to happen. we will never get with the times the way that things are going. people are so set in their ways, like yourself, that one little change freaks them out and there not up for changing something and making it different.

i am looking at the big picture, we have spent 1.5 trillion dollars since september b/c of a recession and this is something we will have to pay for for the rest of our lives. i look at all views and don't jump to conclusions. i am a very positive person and no matter what happens i still will be positive. my father is retired military and he is even worried about things that are going on, and he has served his whole life to the gov't. i think the 1.5 trillion should have been divided up among the legal taxpayers in this country and given out. i know at least 80% of the people would pay off most of their debt and buy a new car, electronics etc, but instead the money was given to CEO's of failing companies to keep them afloat, and what does the taxpayer get, absolutely nothing.

flush, ohh that was the sound of taxpayer money going down the drain. what did they say the 410B would be for? ti creat 50 jobs and make CEO's rich. if all the money that has spent was given to us taxpayers i would have no debt, a new car, some electronics, and even a chumk to put in a money market account or something. that would not just jump start the economy, but send 2,000,000,000 volts through it's heart, banks wouldn't be on the brink of disaster b/c most of their money owed would be paid back. it's called trickle up economics.

"WASHINGTON – The Democratic-controlled House pushed through a $410 billion measure Wednesday that boosted domestic programs, bristled with earmarks and chipped away at policies left behind by the Bush administration.
The vote was 245-178, largely along party lines.
Republicans assailed the measure as too costly — particularly on the heels of a $787 billion stimulus bill that President Barack Obama signed last week. But Democrats jabbed back.
"The same people who drove the economy into the ditch are now complaining about the size of the tow truck," said Rep. James McGovern, D-Mass., pointing out the large increase in deficits that President George W. Bush and GOP-controlled Congresses amassed.
From the GOP side, Rep. Jeb Hensarling of Texas said the legislation was "going to grow the government 8.3 percent ... but the family budget which has to pay for the federal budget only grew at 1.3 percent last year."
The debate occurred one day after Obama told Congress in a prime time television address that he intends to cut deficits in half over the next four years, and one day before he was submitting tax and spending plans for the coming year.
Officials said the president's first budget would call for a permanent tax cut of $400 for lower- and middle-class workers and $800 for families, a break modeled after the temporary provision in the economic stimulus legislation.
He also will seek $634 billion over 10 years as a down payment on health care reform, the start of an effort aimed at providing coverage for an estimated 48 million uninsured people. Achieving that goal could cost much more.
Obama also intends to ask lawmakers to approve a new cap-and-trade system of limits and pollution allowances, especially for industries such as utilities with coal burning power plants. The program would help reduce greenhouse gas emissions while generating revenue that could help finance other elements of an ambitious agenda that includes health care and education reform.
The spending bill that cleared the House drew the support of 229 Democrats and 16 Republicans. There were 159 Republicans and 20 Democrats opposed.
In a symbolic bow to the recession, Democrats included in the spending measure a prohibition on a cost-of-living increase for members of Congress for the year.
Overall, the legislation would provided increases of roughly 8 percent for the federal agencies it covered, about $32 billion more than last year.
The bill is intended to allow smooth functioning of the government through the Sept. 30 end of the fiscal year. The Senate has yet to vote on its version.
After persuading lawmakers to keep earmarks off the stimulus bill, Obama made no such attempt on the first non-emergency spending measure of his presidency. The result was that lawmakers claimed billions in federal funds for pet projects — a total of 8,570 earmarks at a cost of $7.7 billion, according to Taxpayers for Common Sense. Majority Democrats declined to provide a number of earmarks, but said the cost was far smaller, $3.8 billion, 5 percent less than a year ago.
Among the earmarks was one sponsored by Rep. Howard Berman, D-Calif., who secured $200,000 for a "tattoo removal violence outreach program" in Los Angeles. Aides said the money would pay for a tattoo removal machine that could help gang members or others shed visible signs of their past, and anyone benefiting would be required to perform community service.
Rep. Mark Kirk, R-Ill., said the bill included at least a dozen earmarks for clients of PMA Group, a lobbying company now at the center of a federal corruption investigation.
"It's simply not responsible to allow a soon-to-be-criminally indicted lobbying firm to win funding, all borrowed, in this bill," he said. No charges have been filed against the firm or its principals, although the company's offices were raided earlier this month, and it has announced plans to disband by the end of the month.
Federal prosecutors are investigating PMA Group's founder and president, Paul Magliochetti, who is a former top aide to Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa., chairman of the House Appropriations subcommittee that funds defense programs.
In remarks on the House floor, Republican leader John Boehner urged Obama to veto the legislation, citing earmarks.
At the White House, press secretary Robert Gibbs responded only in general terms whether that was possible.
"There is great concern in this building and by the president about earmarks," Gibbs said. "Without having looked specifically at a piece of legislation, I'm hesitant to throw out that four-letter word, `Veto.'"
After eight years without control of the White House, congressional Democrats also used the legislation to target several policies of former President Bush.
Under the bill, Mexican-licensed trucks are banned from operating outside commercial zones along the border with the United States. The Teamsters union, which supported Obama's election last year, had sought the move. The Bush administration backed a pilot program to permit up to 500 trucks from 100 Mexican motor carriers access to U.S. roads.
Bush administration restrictions on travel to Cuba were loosened in the legislation, to permit more frequent visits and expand the list of family members permitted to make trips to see relatives on the Communist nation-island.
Rep. Doc Hastings, R-Wash., took aim at a provision that he said would vastly broaden the government's ability to invoke the threat of climate change to halt economic development. "Most all of the shovel-ready projects on the trillion-dollar stimulus bill would in fact be at risk," he said.
Nominally, the provision halts implementation of Bush-era regulations that reduce the input of federal scientists in endangered species decisions and block the law from being used to fight global warming. One of the regulations would allow oil and gas drilling to continue near the habitat of polar bears — a threatened species — without increased protections.
Rep. David Obey, D-Wis., and chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, said the legislation would merely give the new administration 60 days to decide the fate of the two regulations.
Democrats also inserted a provision into the bill to end a program that allows students in the District of Columbia to use federal funds to attend private schools of their choice. Boehner, who helped establish the program as part of a political bargain several years ago, called the move "hideous." "

I mentioned this in another thread. I need to do some more research on it before I get too far into it.
I do find it funny that the Dems are now saying "we can spend all we want because Bush did" whenever they are calle dout on it. At the same time, they always seem to forget that it took Bush 8 years to rack up 5T in extra debt and they are on a pace to rack up that much in 6 months.

Food for thought
"Owners of capital will stimulate the working class to buy more
and more expensive goods, houses and technology, pushing them
to take more and more expensive credits, until their debt
becomes unbearable. The unpaid debt will lead to bankruptcy of
the banks, which will have to be nationalized, and the State
will have to take the road which will eventually lead to
Communism.” -- Karl Marx 1867

I agree with both of you. The banks were not using good business practices by balancing risk and reward. They are not at the heart of the fault though. The financial companies knew this but the incentives from the government created a moral hazard and thus the ceo's simply pushed for the short term and then got out of it after making millions and millions on setting up people in a house they can't afford. without the government (democratic congress and president) creating this moral hazard, we would have never had the real estate bubble in the first place. MCCain sponsored a bill back in 02 and again in 05 that was killed off by both sides. The bill would have killed the market for subprime mortgages. The warning signs were there long before the bubble burst but no one wanted to listen.

the banks made it easy to go overboard on your credit. i used to recieve dozens of offers a week saying, "Buy that new big TV"" etc etc. and no matter what you spent they sent a low interest check saying," ehy it's ok, use it for cash or whatever, even crack rock or meth". There were savings and loan scandals in the 80's i think under bush sr, and the card companies and mortgage companie has legislature written to "help them even more" and deregulate the mortgage business. i was a loan officer and had seen people less than a year out of bankruptcy buy a 300,000 house on a no doc loan, which provides no proof of income and employment verification. as you know the bankruptcy laws were changed in 05 so the companies could decide if you made to much money to go ch.7, instead you are put on a mandatory payment plan. as long as they were getting rich at the time it was ok, but now they are showing losses and i hear bank of america was suponead today about business deals after recieving tarp money.
