its not meant for drama, it is a great advertising opportunity... many shops don't even build drag cars, such as EPG or Tophat, but both have expressed interest in this event. ;)

i think as long as the cheerleaders give the drama a rest and let the shops show off what they do best; it will be one of the best events of the year :D

There are some fast rotary guys up in Gainesville. They run the little red rotary powered MG Midget up at Commerce all the time for fun. They build some fast rotaries. The owner's name is Danny. I'll try and remember the shops name in a minute. I have his cell, but I'm not gonna put that out here.

I don't think rotaries can enter...not a chassis with a different manufactures engine...but i dunno, that might just be for particular classes

Yes, this is just an addition to the current IFO event... what the shops get out of this, is a great advertising opportunity... between the bracket racing they will call the BOTS participants up and the shops will be able to run the 2 cars they brought for the BOTS portion... that will allow the crowd to get to know the shops by their vehicles throughout the event. then at the end of the day IA will give 500$ to the fastest overall shop (avg. of top times for cars entered). So yes, each shop will have the chance to go home w/ over 2000$ in cash depending on what you race.

the only reason i mentioned any shop was because this si the battle of the shops so dont know exactly why you said that cause i meant nothing by it, but am glad to hear that there will be stuff going on in the spring. i can't wait to get back. later

I have only seen one hatchback from Import Experts so I dont know how "big" they are into the scene.


Street Stuff at one point in time had a hatchback that we checked out at the NDRA event in Bristol. Not really a whole lot to watch if you know what I mean. Besides, since I drive by there at leaast 6 days a week, all I ever see is a bunch of 4 x 4 's and some Hondas that dont seem to be touched.
