I'm working on it! I swear massa. ha. I had to pull this motor real quick because it took alot shorter time. I'm going to need to sometime for the Accord. I'm really just considering keeping the CVCC and dropping a Weber carb on it.

What the heck is that rod made of--Bazooka gum?

You've got me. I couldn't believe how bad it is. The motor is an all stock Single vtec ZC. The part of the rod that goes to the piston was wedged between the bottom of the sleeve and the other part of the rod.

How did the rod fail like that? Do you think it was defective or an oil issue?

I would do that.

What is actually wrong with the car? Later, QD.

I really can't say. I got the car like this. But i'm not sure if it was from the rod locking down the motor or oil, but it did spin a few bearings.

The Accord? Head gasket, possibly rings, and oil pump.

It actually couldn't even have been Vtec. The geniuses still had the PM6 ecu in it.

That power increase when VTEC hits makes babies cry and now rods fail too. In other words, all hell breaks loose.

Edit: It broke it in spirit this time.

So what is the plan of action with it? Simple junkyard engine swap?

I'm going to finish stripping down the block and see if it's still good or not, didn't see any chips or anything on the block. So i'm hoping it still is.

How did the rod fail like that? Do you think it was defective or an oil issue?LOLOL! Rods don't bend by themselves and bearings won't cause a bent rod. I'm sure it was hydrolocked.

I really doubt it was. The car was running ok and driving when it happened. Just not sure if i believe the story of what the guy told me.
