Autoblog.
How do you build the world's quickest car? Well, first you take one of the quickest cars already on the road, then you add more power and charge millions for each example.

In this case, chauffer Marlon Kirby and financier David McMahan took the Ultima GTR – which already claims the fastest quarter-mile, 0-100-0, Nürburgring (almost) and Top Gear (unofficial) track times – and dropped in an all-aluminum 7.0-liter Chevy small-block V8 with twin turbochargers to bring the power rating up to 1600 horses, calling the resultant monster the Maxximus G-Force. All those ponies drive through a three-speed sequential gearbox, while six-piston AP Racing calipers gripping 14.2-inch discs handle the stopping power.

Housed in a 2700-pound frame, that's apparently enough to get the G-Force up to 60 miles-per-hour in 2.1 seconds, to 100 mph in 4.5 seconds and run the 0-100-0 sprint in 8.8 seconds. Nine minutes of fuel is all it can carry at those rates, but considering that McMahan and Kirby are charging $3 million a pop, we doubt a big bill at the gas pump would be an owner's biggest concern.

Too much power? ;)

The quality of that car makes me scared. Yours truly...once we finished putting it together in our garage. I would love to drive that thing, but i'm afraid doing anything more then 200 would actually generate some fear. Something I don't have much of.

That car is faster than a 917/30.

That is more than just "scary"

Traction issues at 200mph. lol

3 million is to much...

An ultima is at most 150k.... no way I'd pay over 500k for that car.

Probably be noticeably faster with a lighter driver. Jeez.

Yeah I was just thinking that myself. Lighter driver is might could cut a better time...haha But that is really cool, but still scary.

Exactly. I'd be happy with an Ultima with 400hp. It would beat just about anything that way still.

And lets not forget this is $3,000,000 for a kit car.

You sure? That car needs all the weight it can to push those rears into the ground.

I know it's not that model, but someone did a twinturbo Lexus V8 one....0-211 in 19 seconds and it was still pulling like a freight train...with "only" 962 rwhp. I bet it would decstroy a Veyron lol

Few things could outrun this car.

Honestly lots of stuff will pull away from a Veyron, but nothing will match it's high speed stability and all around safety at speed. A supercar even grannys could do 253 in

They tested one on Top Gear awhile back. Pretty much what you'd expect and they basically said 3 Million for a kit car, glued together. I'll stick with the Bugatti

wtf? I'd buy the regular ultima, perform the upgrades done to this one (probably $150-200k at the most), and use the $2.6M left over to buy a beach house, a mountain house, and a veyron as my DD. Who in their right mind would pay $3Million for this?

seriously... How would you like to run out of gas every time you go to the grocery store. I mean sure, the car can probably go a few hundred miles on a tank if you drive like my grandma, but if I owned this thing the right pedal would never leave the floor.
